Feck, was hoping for this on iOS. Search of the App Store has it at regular price.

    • The previous version was 99 cents last week.

Not available due to geographical considerations…?!?

means this is NOT a deal for me, for one, here in AU.

    • +2

The geographical issue doesn't seem to apply if you go to it using the Android app store for Amazon. The restriction only shows if you look at it through your computer / web browser.

That said, the comments seem to indicate that it is permanently free on Amazon but has associated annoying pop-up ads.

    • If deal like this are allowed here, why the ones you need to use shipping forwarder are forbidden? For many times i saw really great deals, I just couldn't post them because they didn't ship to Australia. But even with the extra shipping fee, they still cost much less than bought in Australia

      • Well said!!!!

Cheers OP, got a $1 credit for Amazon Music for 'buying' this. HELL YEAH

    • Do we need a US address?

      • +2

Looks like it. Using oz account it gets to the point where it says get app and then it just hangs. Deleted the data and used my US account and bingo worked fine.

        • in my case it tells me that my address has changed, then it just gives up on trying to download the app :( admittedly i'm not even in aus right now so maybe amazon is confused

        • That explains why I can't download the app! Thanks for that
edit so how do you work around it? I can't seem to find any option to sign up as a US account… or is there an easier way?

edit 2 followed the previous person on this thread's advice, I 'suddenly remembered' my American amazon details, and after logging into my American Amazon account, download worked perfectly

Fantastic find! Have been meaning to look at Tapatalk for a while now; guess my lack of action paid off! Thanks to the OP.

Me too! I'd been looking for apps to use my Telstra prepaid credit on and thought of this, but never got around to it. Woohoo!

BTW I haven't seen any ads?

  • Aww man just bought it 2 weeks ago on the play store. XD Mine doesn't have ads though, might be different to the Amazon one then?

  • Tapatalk Communities READER: Does this app only allow browsing - and not posting on a forum?

If it's only a reader I wonder why it would be popular.

    • Did you read the OP?

"Then you simply log in to the app and read your private messages or reply to current topics. You can also easily start a thread about something that piques your interest."

    grabbed it

    thanks op

  • Can anyone confirm if this version is riddled with advertisements

    • +2

I haven't seen any ads. If there are ads, the designer should be shot for burying them in some obscure section where there's no revenue to be generated.

Been waiting for this. Thanks OP!
