[Closed] 29-32" LED HD TV for under $300

Hi guys,

I'm currently looking for a small tv 29-32" tv that MUST be a Japanese brand (Sony, Sharp, Panasonic) etc. [requested by girlfriend because her parents are a bit traditional]

Doesn't need anything fancy, as long as its HD, doesnt need to be full HD.

I was looking at a Sharp 32"

but can't bring myself to buy it since I know it was special on $298 before!!!!

Anyways, if you guys come across any, i'd really appreciate it if you could share it with me.

Personally I like Samsung TVs but apparently it has to be Japanese…

Cheers

*Bought the Hitachi from Officeworks. Everyone happy :)

Buy a chinese made TV and then stick this over the label -http://tinyurl.com/a997hlm

  • The brand has to be Japanese? Because TVs at this price range might still be manufactured in China despite bearing a Japanese brand.

    • Hi Scotty,
Unfortunately, it does need to be Japanese. I told them that they might be made in China anyways but they need a Japanese brand? :(

    • Thanks! I did see this one for around 276 at officeworks before so its even cheaper now. Definitely one of the options. Kind of hoping for the sharp to get back down to $298 and it's a done deal. But might have to go with this one if nothing comes out in a week.

      Cheers

make sure you "test drive" the tv first. take a usb stick with some different format vids on it to check its playback ability.

        • Thanks for your suggestion!

  • Why does it have to be Japanese brand. How stupid.

in the same way my parents always vote liberal. the libs could be running a platform for compulsory euthanasia for 70+ year olds and my parents would still vote for them.

    • It's old people. My inlaws bought a japanese made tv. Not buying chinese rubbish he says. But the kettle, toaster, DVD player, etc made in china. Go figure.
