Kindle Touch Wi-Fi + 3G Refurb - $129 (+ Delivery)

10

This is the older model, which has since been replaced with the Kindle paper-white, but although it's refurbished, it's roughly $50 less than the paperwhite 3G. I don't know whether this model contains advertisements or not (DSE doesn't specify on website), in which case the saving could be $70 over the paperwhite.

This model has multi-touch and stuff, but no backlight and less PPI compared to the paperwhite.

  • old model and refurb, only $50 less than a brand new latest model? 3G is good though, but not much useful to me.

Yeah I don't get the point of 3G on an eBook. Do people read that many books that they need to suddenly download a new on sitting on the bus or something?

The kindle can be used to browse the web, so I suppose it could help in a scenario like that. But then, I'd personally just create an AP on my mobile phone. So no, I don't understand the benefit of 3G either and should probably neg my own deal ;-)

      • Yes, that is exactly what its for. Amazon wants it to be as easy as possible to impulse buy. I think the web browsing is disabled for 3G on this device.

  • it's roughly $50 less than the paperwhite 3G

    That's because it's not a paperwhite 3G

Just a heads up that the deal for the Kindle Paperwhite Wireless posted here http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/92071 is still current. I managed to get one for my son for AU$103 delivered about two weeks ago.

    • They removed 'add to cart' option so its no longer available :(

    • I did the same, I ordered two and paid 170 all up. Delivery is the same price for two as it is for one

    • FYI The linked model is not a touch
