Value AVR?

I have a superb pair of Quad bookshelf speakers (rating max power 100W, nominal impedance 6 Ohms). It has been matched to a Denon AVR that is working well but out of date - no HDMI connectors, for example.
I would appreciate suggestions for a replacement AVR receiver, particularly if they are on sale. Don't mind if it lacks all the bells and whistles. I simply need it for good stereo output and HDMI in and out.

    You then pick up a sub & centre to match your existing four, plus a couple of spares, for basically the price of the bare amp as well…
