Buying Amazon gift cards - for yourself !?

I received an email from Amazon:

"Surprise someone with an Amazon.com Gift Card and get a $10 promotional code to spend on yourself. Just purchase at least $50 in Amazon.com Gift Cards by May 31, 2013, and we'll email you a $10 promotional code to spend at Amazon.com this summer."

Does anyone know for certain… can you just buy the gift card for yourself, and then spend the $50 + bonus $10 on yourself too?

Update: I asked Amazon and received this reply…

"Yes, You can buy the gift card for yourself and you'd be still eligible for the promotion."

oh maximum is $10 bonus… even buy 4 cards, still receive $10?
