  Not in Melbourne, but I have to vouch for Japanese gyoza being delicious, above sushi and teriyaki chicken on the list of delicious Japanese cuisine. Maybe even better than katsu kare.

  Only 6 pieces? Why is this so expensive? Before I checked the prices I was expecting prices to be similar to chinese restaurants, i.e around $8 for 15 dumplings (pork) or 12 (beef).

    Because 6 good gyoza is much tastier (and sometimes more food, they can be very large) than 15 good chinese dumplings.

      Never been to this place, so i wouldn't know if their dumplings are tastier but if dumplings are too large then the meat to skin ratio wouldn't be right and wouldn't be as tasty. The authentic ones i had in japan were certainly no bigger than the ones in chinese restaurants. With this coupon, it's a good deal. If no discount i'll just stick to good for value pan fried chinese dumplings.

        I've been here three times. They have a really good value lunch special.

        I would say the gyoza size is average dumpling size, but there appears to be more diversity in the dumpling options.

        This coupon can only be used after 3pm though, so I'll have to check out the menu carefully for dinner…
