I need my 16m of roof gutter cleaned for a Surry Hills double terrace (about 6 meters high)
I have been offered quotes of $120, could i do better ?

serious: inner city living, there is no space to keep anything. Ever since moving into the terrace everything is minimised. If I need move it'll seriously probably take me less than an hour to pack up my room and leave.

Go to hardware store and buy one… use it… take it back and say it is too high?

If you have a flat roof, take the leaf blower up there, done in five mins.
nah the roof is too much of an angle can't stand on it. neither have a ladder to reach that height
that price sounds fair.
Try going for a win/win. Ask if he/she will accept the job for $90 on the basis they fit it in when they have the time / you help out.
You get a better price, they get flexibility (not sure if that's enough of a hook for them, but you get the idea)

many services reported ridiculous amounts up to thousands some went to the point that they need cherry pickers to access the roof gutters :S
interestingly the best i found was jim's mowing for $550, which included gutter cleaning, down pipe flushing and gutter guards installed

Have you tried getting a quote for gutter guard? Might be the way to go if you are surrounded by trees?
They may clean out the gutters during installation and overall may not cost a lot extra??that is a great idea!
That's bout the average price. We were charged $120 for a local guy off gumtree to do it. That was late last year. Cash in hand, beats me going up the ladder.
