So I was looking around for a laptop and I came across this expired deal here:
http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/98994

But when I went to the page, the sale is on again? 30% off.
A further 1% off can also be applied if you're a student, Government worker (? - Teachers can get it), and some corporate thing. You need to talk to customer service online. Price would then $890.00!

It has dedicated graphics and it seems pretty good in my opinion.

  • Good price. I paid same for the 15.4" version of this (15R) with pretty much same specs, except I have an Intel SSD cache thingie with my 1TB drive.

For someone wanting a desktop replacement (and dont lug it around every day), the 17R is the way to go.

      Discounted Price is ……$898.9

Would've bought in an instant (and paid some more) to get a version with SSD. Don't think the HDD would last too long if I use it on the bumpy bus commute morning and afternoons.

      • The Inspiron 17R SEs don't have an SSD option. But they have a 2nd hard drive bay, so you can buy/install your own SSD.

      • I don't think your lap would last too long with this 3.3 kg laptop bumping up and down on it.

  • If anyone going to buy this, make sure you upgrade to InHome service warranty for additional $69.05. Otherwise if you need repair, you have to pay to mail to the service centre both ways.

  • You should put the price in the title
