From 1999, the PC Classic Sid Meiers Alpha Centauri for $2.39
strategy / turn-based / sci-fi
*Includes the Sid Meier's Alien Crossfire expansion.
*Great spin-off of the legendary Civilization series, in a refreshing Sci-Fi setting
*Design your own units. Balance their speed, power, and toughness to suit your current tactical needs
*Seven factions to chose from, each with its own artificial intelligence model that creates a very suggestive feeling that you are up against real people
I'm trying to figure out if a 1999 game for $2.39 is a bargain or not.
Don't GOG do some work to these old games to ensure they work well on modern PCs? If they've had some involvement on the support side of things then I guess this is a deal. If it's a completely unaltered 14 year old game then I dare say it should be freeware by now.
