Was at a Dick Smith store looking for a new slim laptop bag that was decent enough looking with a good feel and found the ACME Union bag for $60. Was about to buy it but instead went home and searched for it online.

Found that Binglee has them for $12 (larger size) or $10 with FREE shipping!

    My brief strap snapped the other day walking home from work and went crashing on the pavement (lucky I didn't have my laptop that day). I bought what looks to be an inferior design from Kmart for $29. I'm going to check this out and return the Kmart one.

    EDIT: Shit, sold out…
    EDIT2: They are still in-store at my 3 local locations. It's only sold out online.

      There were some decent ones in Aldi the other week; I bought one there for $25.

      They often have unsold stock selling beyond the sale week so you might get lucky there. Construction is very good on these.

    I managed to get one of these and a union square brief - I prefer the smaller sizes.

    ACME Made is a high quality brand, I have a Slim Cargo from them, it's very well built.

    I bought my first and only Acme Made bag (The Slim) back in 2002, not long after they were founded. It's stil going great after much abuse 11 years later! :)

    I got 2 yesterday from Tuggerah NSW. They had 3 so now have 1 left. The manager was a bit rude and clearly didn't want to sell them at $12 but hey, company policy pal, I didn't come for your opinion!

    Anyway, these are great quality, I'm very impressed for $12. To get better quality, you're looking at spending >$80. I saw some better ones at David Jones today priced from a mere $199-299. How are those guys still open for business I wonder.

    But people posted that there are stocks in store.

    So I am confused.

    Also they said they will offer the targus CN31 (quite outdated looking) in exchange.

    I am happy with The Sleeve (delivered in the mail).
    It's a small size though.

    Oddly mine came with the 2 small side zips unzipped instead of zipped shut (?)

    Item otherwise appears new. A bit small compared to my $25 Aldi laptop bag, but that was expected, and it's fine otherwise. Label says "Fits up to Macbook Pro 15" and really drives home Mac / Apple angle.

    Shoulder strap is attached to the bag by plastic attachment (with metal only used on the spring-loaded opening to attach or detach the strap, but that isn't taking the weight of the bag). This is totally cheap compared to my Aldi bag (which was selling recently), which has full metail retainers on both ends and really solid build. Realistically though, it should be fine.

    For the price it's good and actually more substantial than the name 'sleeve' would suggest; they should consider a new name for it because whenever I think of sleeve I think of those lame cheap laptop sleeves. Bags like this is not designed to carry much to begin with but this is still decent and much better than a silly pocketless sleeve. I would prefer if it didn't have any external branding (I hate being a brand ambassador for any company), but you can't have it all. Unless you have the Aldi bag :)

    A smoking deal for $10 delivered, regardless. Too bad I was too late to get the other ones.

      You're lucky. My order got cancelled, they wanted to offer a different bag. I said no. Bait and switch, this one smells.
