Probably one of the laptops on this page would be good. Not what I would call a bargain but their pricing structure is pretty decent. I would probably recommend the Metabox P170EM for roughly $1700 but you should be able to take off a few extras to make the price more suitable.

I haven't bought from them but this store and the metabox range generally gets good reviews on Whirlpool.
