  • Hmm quite alot of other games are also discounted I bought fifa football for vita for 15 and is now ten alot of 3ds and vita games that used to be 30 and now 20. I think they tok a further 33% off already discounted items.

    • Yeah there are some cheap prices there, mostly first wave releases though so many people have already picked them up. I have ordered a copy of Smart As… for myself.

The $99 32GB card is also the cheapest bricks and mortar in Australia I believe.

nice price, but Sony really need to die with their overpriced proprietary memory BS.

That's how they make money rather than putting region lock on the PS VITA which also giving players flexibility to access PSS around the world by just pay a little extra(?) for the memory card.

I have a 3DS with AUS,UK region lock. I can't even do a local in-game connection with my friend who have the Japanese version 3DS. (Don't even talk about swapping games from him)

      • I thought the point of consoles was the make accessible hardware at a competitive price point, then offer a compelling software library & charge royalties from software sales (which is why console games cost more than PC counterparts).

This proprietary memory stuff just seems to me like they're purposely gimping the functionality of their stuff and charging exorbitant amounts to 'unlock' the full potential.

Like bonus said, yes they are over charging on the cards. The hardware however is cheap as, take a look at a Vita and you'll see what I mean. Also the lack of region lock is excellent.

no argument there, vita is cheap & great value with some great hardware packed into it. IIRC I got my PSP 1000 brand new for $250 and back then that was considered a very low price.

If I had to choose between overpriced proprietary memory or region lock, I suppose memory is the lesser of the two evils.
Having said that, they're still both evil.

  • Awesome price on Burning Skies, got a store near me to put their last copy on hold.
