Programmable LED Strips

Hey guys,

I am almost done with my media room, thanks to oz bargain. I am looking for programmable usb led strips to create an ambient effect (ambilight). Time looking for something rather cheap.

Thanks guys, can anyone recommend me some led strips which works with an Arduino mega? Each led should be individually addressable. Thanks in advance!

  I am actually using the Lightpack (now Prismatik) software and an Arduino for backlighting on my television connected to my HTPC.
  
  Here's a video of mine - cost just over $100 in total for the stuff.
