Canon PowerShot S110 cheapest price for Myer to pricematch

Hi there fellow ozbargainers,

I am looking to buy a Canon S110 from Myer Bourke St in Melbourne, so that I can use the gift cards I bought pre-Christmas 2012 and collect Myer One points. At the moment, their sale price is $399, but they are happy to price match at $360. I am wondering what is the lowest price I can get them to price match. Has anyone bought the S110 for a cheaper price from an Australian brick and mortar shop? How low can Myer go?

    Price matching at Myer is really a hit and miss, you have to find the right person.

    How low can Myer go… Really just depends on the sales staff and how much they value their job…. It would be costing them ~$310 into store…

        Hi guys, just an update on my S110 quest. I bought the S110 from Myer Bourke St last night for $360. I couldn't squeeze any discount from Myer on the 16GB Sandisk Ultra SDHC card. It was $35 RRP.

        So, I walked up the street to JBHifi and got them to price match MSY for $15 for the 16GB Sandisk Ultra SDHC card, no sweat. Whilst at JBHifi, I thought I'd check how low they could go on the S110, and I was quoted $347! Too bad I've bought mine just 5 minutes ago. Anyhow, I wanted to use up my Myer gift cards.

        I would definitely go back to that particular JBHifi dude next time for my future electronic purchases.
