I HAVE NIKON D3100 AND I REALLY DONT KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT THE SPEED LIGHT. CAN U GUYS HELP ME OUT WHAT SHOULD I BUY? WHERE SHOULD I BUY? WELL I AM ALSO NOT WILLING TO SPEND FORTUNE ON IT TOO/ MAY BE UPTO 150 FOR GOOD ONES OR LESS THAN $100 FOR BASICS. I AM REALLY IN DILEMMA .

I second the recommendation for the sb400. For a casual user it has everything you need including most importantly bounce flash. The quality of your indoor casual snaps will improve ten times once you bounce light off the ceiling.
I have a Yongnuo on my canon and it works pretty well considering how cheap it is.
ebay sell aftermarket speedlight compatiable flash, the
YONGNUO Flash Speedlight YN-460 starts from about $40 inc delivery. The
Jueying Viltrox Wireless Speedlight starts from about $60 with a digital back for settings or the
YN-560II for about $80 but my favorite is just a cheap SB400 for $125 and use plain folded white paper or buy a aftermarket flash difuser.
