Also i suggest waiting another month if you can, because come EOFY Logitechshop is going to have massive savings
We have one of these and don't like it. Have 2 of the simpler older 525's which are much better constructed and more reliable. Our one keeps on forgetting which activity it is on plus the buttons are not well designed and often get stuck in the down position.
I haven't had that issue before, sounds like you have a dodgy one, go get it replaced under warranty or something.
525 is more still expensive than the 650 now, I think that means the 525 is better :D
I got 2 x 515 and they are great, but need 1 more now… thinking of getting a 515, 525 or 650 …
So hard to pick.
