hi - have ranted elsewhere about predatory pricing in australia- apple, lego to name a few- finally imported my first large lego set from amazon.co.jp - cost half of same price here and arrived in under 2 weeks…i suggest we all do the same…
what if we don't want lego?
please share the secret.. I can't get my orders through and using an Australian Address.. Are you using a mail forwarder? Thanks
A lot of people have no idea nor make any effort to research before purchasing high cost items such as cars, tv's, furniture, white goods, etc… they just fall for the bling and sales talk / promotion blurb and become victims of retail rip off.
Businesses know this and naturally take advantage of it.
Who's fault is it? The business or the dead bone lazy purchaser?
I have seen where one person paid around $45000 for a car when it could have been had for $8000 less. Identical new car.
Take a fridge for $1500 then the same one is $1100 a few hundred meters away… a $1500 lounge on special, one off.. at another store, identical lounge $799!
Have a look in used car yards for 1-2 yr old used cars that are priced more than the new equivalent. They sell them to the gullible every day!
Thankfully the internet is giving people the ability to research prices more but sadly many choose just do not want to make the effort. Let them suffer.
Most of the time it is just a self inflicted wound. Sympathy… zero.
