    I got this dock, and I would NEVER describe it as "crap"!

    It's damn good value for $70-80, and its very good sound quality for what is a 'cheap dock'.
    Go to JB's and listen to some of the others in comparison if you want to know what real crap sounds like… and take note of the price that other junk is selling for as well.

    In regards to pricing, there's been plenty of $75 delivered pricing over the last year… so this aint special. It's worth the money no question, but I reckon they have to be releasing a new one soon that'll have the new connector on it as well (just for future proofing).

  I bought one from Logitech shop, however I couldn't connect my daughter's Ipod by sitting it on the dock, when sitting on the dock, it will only charge but not play. I had to buy this $4 aux cable from Ebay and had to connect Ipod that way, so it will play. Anyone knows why? Should I return it?

        have you tried turning the volume on the ipod dial up before hitting play?

        This unit seems a tempestuous beast for some and a joy to others.

        hmmm it wouldnt even connect, let alone play any sound whatsoever.
        I wish I knew this before buying, would definitely reconsider :(

        sounds like a return product annakira.

        there is quite a few comments and mixed feelings about this dock right across the interwebz. some seem to love it and many others find they've purchased a dud.

        i have the pure 1 and though it doesn't have the recharge function it has been a great little unit.
