What is it? How does it go? Where did you buy it?
Is anybody using a China phone?
Comments
i brought one of those Urbane as a emergency as my iphone went mental and didnt want to let me use the touch screen.
its basically ok that all i can say, bit laggy at times, overall is good for a backup but when you install certain apps it will slow down like hell.
dont use it anymore but its still at home as a back up…
Aren't they all china phones?
Designed in California Made in ChinaSome Nokias are made in India.
Also wage rates and land prices are increasing in China which might mean a lot of manufacturing may get done in other developing countries.Very soon we might see 'made in Mexico' phones…
I currently have a Lenovo A789 as a backup. Very good phone for it's price, got it from eBay for $140 (although it would've been cheaper if I bought from Merimobiles). The 3 flaws with the phone is the weight/bulkiness, poor low light camera performance and the lack of 850mhz 3g for Voda/Telstra support.
I use a Chinese phone, and although some components of mobile phones may be ceramic* (speakers, for instance), I don't believe that there is such a thing as a china phone.
*16% by weight, on average: http://www.envocare.co.uk/mobile_phones.htm (data from 2001, so that percentage may have changed with new manufacturing technologies and materials)
I've had one for about a year. It's a Star A3, which is a copy of the HTC Sensation. No problems yet, in fact it pretty good. I got it from a Chinse website for about $130. No idea what would happen if it died. Probably I would do nothing. I think I outlayed too much money and should have spent only about $50. Google "Star A3 cell" and many options come up.
I think an original HTC Sensation would be a fine phone.I'm leaning toard a Newman N2 or a Xiaomi MI2.
