Should I Wait until EOFY Sales? TCL 75C845 75" TV

Morning folks, just after some advice from everyone as I am not too sure on what to do.

Need a new 75 inch TV and I'm on a budget so that means maximum I will be spending is $2000.

Missed out on an amazing deal (Samsung 75" QN85C) on the Samsung Edu store a few weeks ago but I've been reading a lot about the TCL C845s. I do understand they've released the C55s recently but for a 75 inch it's definitely out of my price range.

Seems like a lot of suppliers no longer sell the C845s due to it being discontinued but I've noticed Bi-Rite has it for $1995. I know in the past this particular model has been on sale for cheaper but from the sounds of things it's a great TV. Wondering if I should wait until the EOFY sales to see if there's any better deals or bite the bullet and order it now?

I've never had a TCL TV before so if there's anyone currently using the C845, please let me know how the TV is. Currently using an older Hisense 75 inch TV that's around 6.5 years old.

Any advice/suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

  Wait!

  Hold on and wait for a good 75 or 85 inch deal to come around. If your existing tv works, wait and grab a good deal that is bound to come.

  We got the 85inch c845 and it looks great for movies and ps5 . Waited for a good deal, and used discounted gift cards.

  If you can wait and get an 85 inch around your budget or can stretch the budget, 85inches is worth it for the immersive-ness

    85 " would be great but I think it will be out of my price range. I am praying that it goes down to maybe the 2k mark.

    I was thinking the same thing is to wait to see what deals as I am sure there will be quite a few leading up to EOFY.

      It’s only a matter of time until a good 85 inch gets closer to your budget or a great deal for a 75 inch comes. Just move the couch closer 😂

  This is exactly what I wanted to ask as well. But given all these stores ran out of stock and not restocking the older model for obvious reason. I doubt if they'll be have any stock to sell?

    Yep, it's difficult to know when to pull the trigger because if you wait too long it means the models that you were originally after will no be longer available. I've been tossing between the TCL C845 (barely any stock left), Samsung 75QN85C (Samsung Edu Store had this for around $1790) and I am also now looking at the Sony XR75X90L which is currently around the 3k mark but it should come down right?

    And I totally understand where you're coming from because as soon as you set and about to pull the trigger it turns out that the model is no longer available hahaha the life of a OZB member I guess?
