Great monitor but doesn't appear to be any stock.

    • +2

I just ordered 1 so there is stock.

      Stop lying mate.

@Deefer: Showing me there is stock, maybe location based? I'm in Melbourne.

            • @itsmoe: It does appear that way. I'm in regional QLD and even the Bing Lee listing says "Item does not post to you". I'd like a second one but seems no cheap monitor for me.

@Deefer: Scratch that - did the JB price match and picked one up from my local.

I got the 32GP750-B 32" for $349 last year sometime, direct from LG. Nice monitor, the fact that it disconnects from the PC (ie. PC doesn't see a monitor anymore) when the monitor goes into power-saving mode is slightly annoying (windows forget which monitor they're on in multi-monitor setups), but it's a pretty good monitor nonetheless.

Differences between 750 and 850 seem to be the 850 is nano ips and can do 180Hz? Also a USB hub, so that's nice.
I haven't seen this 850 in person, but maybe the nano ips by itself is worth the premium?

    • I think the disconnecting thing is just a quirk of display port connections, because my monitor does the same thing only on display port

      • +2

It doesn't happen on my Dell on display port, so it might be limited to these LGs only perhaps? Either way, it's not enough reason to not buy the monitor…

        • +3

Also doesn't happen on my old Dell display port monitors. It's not a display port behaviour.

    • I have a 32GP750-B connected to a i3 12100 Intel UHD Graphics 730 via a Asrock Z690M-ITX/Ax Intel Z690 LGA 1700 Mini ITX Motherborad
      Zero issues

    • +1

Hey mate, PersistentWindows will fix your issue re disconnect on sleep. It's a Windows issue.

      • -3

It's a monitor issue. Plenty of reports of this happening. Doesn't happen with any other monitor combo I've tried

    • This is most likely a display driver issue. It's definitely a known problem with Intel UHD770..

How long does the sale in Amazon last? I want to price match it tomorrow in JB or Officeworks.

  • +2

The item is selling for $488 at the Bing Lee eBay store, but eBay Plus members can purchase it for $468 with a $20 discount. https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/166583365453

    • +1

$488 -$20 discount +$20 postage :) so not any cheaper

      • You can choose Click and Collect as a delivery method, at no additional delivery cost.

  • In the LG Specs it shows that the typ brightness of the 32GP750-B is 400nits (max 500nits) while the typ brightness 32GP850-B is 350nits :) Doesn't show max

Is there something with similar specs but cheaper price?
Looking for a triple screen setup

32" LG 32GP750 UltraGear QHD IPS 165Hz HDR Monitor
      AU $389.22
computer_alliance Ebay store with 22% off EbayPus coupon

Spec's wise its the same monitor but not overclocked to 180Hz and HDR400 vs HDR10 support

In the specs The 32GP750 has a higher brightness level but the 32GP850 has nanoIPS for supposedly better colours "debatable"

for 3x32" monitors you would need a huge desk. :) Each monitor will be 71cm long.. i have 2 of them side by side. 3 would be 2.13m long :) haha

i was about to click BUY on the GP850 on Amazon until i saw this this morning.

it's exactly what i was looking for — a second monitor that's cheaper where i don't care too much how old it is, 1440p & IPS. bought one. thanks very much.
        i now just need 2 new single-monitor arms because i can't seem to find a (non-hydraulic) dual-arm for 32" screens.

  • 32" LG 32GP750 Looks to be a better monitor going off the specs on the LG website.

Damn wish it could charge a laptop with USB c. Hoping to get a screen about this size with USB c

  • for a HDR display the brightness is way too low. This is defiantly not for creators its pure gamers monitor for sure.

    • +1

You are correct that it is a gaming monitor

Purchased mine for $463.60 by calling Officeworks on 1300 633 423.

Citing the Amazon price, i had no issues ordering it with their price match guarantee for click and collect at my local store in Melbourne. Sent from their warehouse and collected it from store the next day.

Could have ordered it with free next day home delivery (they offer free next day Metro delivery on orders over $55), but wasn't too keen on leaving a nice big monitor at my front door for all to see while at work.

Coming from an AOC 32" 75Hz Freesync 5ms monitor which I've been happy with for the past few years, difference is huge.

For the price it's a no brainer. Definitely recommend.

  • It is now 547 not 488 :(
