Two Months Free Business nbn with Totalbiz Business Plans (ABN Required) @ Superloop

490

So, Superloop is giving away two months of free NBN through its Totalbiz business plans 100/40 and above.

I signed up a week or so ago, and I used my personal ABN, which had been canceled years ago, and it worked fine.
It did take 4 hours to get connected after my previous connection was canceled.
I have now received a bill for $0.

Also, Superloop needs 30 days written notice to cancel their service, so set a reminder 28 days into the first month to inform them you will be canceling.
If you do that, you should be able to score 2 free months of high speed nbn (1000/50)

Critical information summary

nbn speed tier Ongoing monthly cost
50/20 $85
100/40 $99
250/25 109
1000/50 $119

"Also, Superloop needs 30 days written notice to cancel their service, so set a reminder 28 days into the first month to inform them you will be canceling." yes this is definitely a good thing to know as i churned over to more from superloop assuming they would auto cancel but i still got charged for an extra month :(

    • Maybe it more isp problem. I churn from Superloop to ABB and my account on superloop doesn’t exist

    • Can’t you just inform them of the cancellation date as soon as you’ve signed up? No need to wait 28 days?

  • New customers only I guess?

Unfortunately, we can’t find your business address.

To confirm your address, please contact our support team.

Looks like they're still not doing fixed wireless. Boooo!

    • I can’t seem to find my address as well

No high upload plans? Weird for business.

    • +2

Yeah other than the 2 months free I can't see any reason for these plans. They have a static IP, but that's available on the consumer plans for $5 anyway. Given the business plans are generally $15 more per month than the equivalent consumer ($10 with the static IP included), I don't really get the point of them.

Service Level Agreements for connectivity uptime guarantees, support within minutes guaranteed, etc

        • NBN business doesn't provide uptime SLAs, they only provide rectification and response SLAs. And most entry level business plans (Including these Superloop ones) only use the lowest level of SLA, meaning they still only apply during business hours and are fairly relaxed on the targets (Definitely not response within minutes).

      • Do business plans include static IP or does it come at extra cost?

      • is static IP matter ?

  • any ABN?

i am confused , it is month by month contract but when i checked the cancellation fees below, it is stated as below :

    https://www.superloop.com/business/totalbiz

A cancellation fee will apply if you cancel your Broadband service within 18 months. The Cancellation Fee is calculated as: Remaining months (out of 18 months) x the monthly charge x 30%.

    • Where did you find the quote? It is clearly stated in the CIS as "Cancellation Fee You may cancel your service at any time by giving Superloop thirty (30) days’ written notice, including if you do not wish to continue to use the service."

towards the end of the bottom page > Terms and conditions > Cancellation Fee

        • You may be referring to the free modem for 18 months?

          • +1

@bobwokeup: @jaysee-teh is simply quoting what the page stipulates. To see for yourself:

A cancellation fee will apply if you cancel your Broadband service within 18 months. The Cancellation Fee is calculated as: Remaining months (out of 18 months) x the monthly charge x 30%.

This 30% is also referenced in their "Full terms and conditions" found in the PDF file linked at the bottom of the same "Terms and conditions" section (link here).

Cancellation Fee means the monthly access charge payable by the Customer to Superloop multiplied by the number of months (or part of a month) in the unexpired portion of the Minimum Term multiplied by 30%.

Minimum Term means the period of time for which the Customer has agreed to receive the Service under a Fixed-Term Agreement. The Minimum Term begins on the Service Start Date and runs for the period of time stated on the Application, unless otherwise set out in the Agreement.

It is possible Superloop had 18-month terms for business plans which they have removed (at least for now) for this offering however the page has not been updated to fully reflect this month-to-month offering. The "Minimum Term" here would be 1 month, not 18 months, so there should not be any expectation to pay out the remaining contract at 30% - just provide your notice and you're golden.

Under Business they have Business Internet plans / TotalBiz/ SuperBiz. This post is in relation to Business Internet plans.

    • +3

on the page it also stats "Total upfront cost $0 & Total min. cost $0 plus any pro rata charges for 30-day cancellation notice period." so there's no cancel fee for these no lock in plans

  • Ordered. As per the login (using my old login details last used back in 2022) at no stage they asked for ABN. Order in process. Hope all goes well. Connected now.

Just ordered the 1000/50, I am so over Telstra so lets see how we go!

    • Telstra, good bye from me too, been with them for over 6 years but they couldn't care less when I wanted to leave to a competitive offer.

      • +2

Yep, called them last night for a speed boost and they wanted an extra $60 per month to get to 600mbps…

  • +1

Just signed up on the phone, already have a residental with them. They've loged a new service and once it's active they'll cancel the residental no cancelation fee.

Can someone please explain why 100/20 standard plan at $85 isn’t better than the 100/40 $99 biz plan?

Aside from those that do lots of uploads of course!!

    • +2

      Maybe better support SLAs

    • Aussie support, I’m getting a faster speed than I was getting before on 1000/50

    • +2

I’m 100% home office, using a virtual PC. I found with 100/20 my virtual PC would lag (very very annoying).
Switched to 100/40 and issue never repeated. The extra upload speed resolved the issue for me.
I’m with Exetel, who are Superloop…

      • What cloud host are you using for the virtual PC?

  • +8

I wish we could get 1000/1000 symmetrical plans 😭

  • Cheers OP! 🍺

  • Can you set the start date to be 3 weeks away? My ABB cycle has 24 days left.

    • +1

      they'll pro rata anyway.

  • Total 0$ at cart but when do checkout on both CBA and Revolt it ask for 99$

  • Which months are free? Is it the first two in a row?

  • Can't click through the checkout button. It does nothing after clicking. Tried multiple browsers, incognito but no luck.

  • Damn you opticomm shakes fist

  • +1

Guys my CBA netcode says authrise 99$. Wants to make sure they are not gonna deduct it. Is it ok to proceed or it shouldn’t ask for it. Upfront on site is 0$. Confused a little. Help me out. Thanks

    *Update: Not deducted

  • Did this last night, had no issues. Used a debit card with $50 or so in it so won't get overcharged, no attempt at a charge happened though. Was able to use a ozbargain referral at checkout and schedule for next week

    • What exactly does adding a ref code do? Apart from Referrer gets 10% off for 6 months. which I'm happy to do. does the referee get any benift cheers

  • For cancellation, do I just send them an email?

  • I have just ordered. The email confirmation does not contain the connection date. I chose a day in June.

  • Apparently there is a credit check?

  • They decided my application because my ABN is cancelled.

    • maybe they checking now after this post

      • I had an assumption they might be wise to this feed. For all we know there are Superloop employees who use Ozbargain too, would not be surprised

Oh well, congrats to those who got in early, good luck to see if your 2 months remains active.

        • Superlooop rep just called if I needed any assistance prior to my activation date of 26/05 no mention of ABN at all which was valid but tots different name and company. So as long as one provide a valid/active ABN - no matter the name - it's gonna go thru, this is for 1000/50 - in case this helps anyone out, cheers

    • +1

      typo: declined

    • "My"ABN is active but it's not in my name lol, looks like I'm gonna be rejected too haha

      • +1

You should be fine. The superloop account is in my name, but I use my wife's ABN. It got activated today, without any issue.

        • yeah you're 100% correct, Superlooop rep just called if I needed any assistance prior to my activation date of 26/05 no mention of ABN at all which was valid but different name. So as long as one provide a valid/active ABN - no matter the name - it's gonna go thru, this is for 1000/50 - in case this helps anyone out, cheers

  • Thanks OP. Signed up for 1000/50 to be activated on a future date.

Can confirm that $119 is required to authorise on Revolut to get through the payment, but nothing is deducted.

    • can you delay install by 30 days? I'll be cancelling my Exetel service which needs the 30 day notice.

    • Did it ask for an ABN?

      • Yes, it did ask for ABN and name of the business. My activation date is next week so I don't know why 30days can be done or not.

  • Those who were not asked ABN during the signup/ set up on portal are most likely on home plan 1000/50. super loop is getting in touch to seek ABN and other required details to set up business account (at least in my case). Note otherwise will not be able to avail 2 months free thing.

    • Don't see an option/plan for residential 1000/50? Am I missing somthing?

  • Anyone started getting constant dropouts recently?

  • Was anyone else asked for the router delivery address when signing up? I did not select a free router, but the sign up form still asks for a delivery address.

    • +1

Same. My service has been activated now, and no router has been sent.

      • Same, did they grill you over your ABN at atll? some posters have reported they started checking ABN info and your application might get rejected. I scheduled mine for the end of the month and no news apart from the initial receipt email with no proposed connection date.

        • +1

Nah, maybe because my ABN is active? I just got an email on the scheduled activation date once my service was active. No comms in between.

          • @76F: Do you also have a business registered against your ABN? Cheers

            • +1

@SES: My business doesn't require a registered business name.

              • +1

@76F: All good, Superlooop rep just called if I needed any assistance prior to my activation date of 26/05 no mention of ABN at all. So as long as one provide a valid/active ABN - no matter the name - it's gonna go thru, this is for 1000/50 - in case this helps anyone out, cheers

  • +1

my application got declined, reason is ABN cancelled. I guess they do check.

    • Maybe retry with a valid ABN even though it's under your "partners" name or whatever and whatever company. Reason I say this I just had a call from a superloop rep just to see if I needed any assistance prior to my activation date of 26/05/24. No mention of ABN at all. Hope it helps someone cheers

  • “FREE Plug & Play modem or router
FREE Amazon eero 6+ Wi-Fi router or ZTE H1600 router/modem so you can make the most of your business internet plan (if you stay connected for 18 months).”

Does this mean I need to be locked in if I don’t have a modem?
