Never seen this before at Amazon!

    Equivalent to 8% off.

  • +9

Only 8% off. Colesworth occasionally do equivalent 10% off

Not 8% off, only 8% back as promo credit. Very average deal imo

I prefer the Woolies points offer with Apple gift cards.
$200 = $20 credit on my everyday rewards app.

    • +2

but then you stuck with buying from woolies who im trying to spend as little as possible through nowadays

        and Amazon are better?
Replacing and Australian monster with a US monster…

        • depends which devil you prefer… i mean if we really going to talk about monsters both of these benefit Apple so there is that too :D (and I'm an apple user… more recentish return to the cult)

Not as good as the supermarkets offer but great to have another retailer offering a bonus!

  • I think you can pay with Amazon GC to get extra saving. It worked last time when I purchase PS GC from Amazon

  • Overall better to wait for the 10% off equivalent ones in the supermarkets.
Anyone know if you need to spend the $16 credit by a certain time period?
I guess I could try to stack it with ShopBack etc.

    • Promotional credit will expire at 11:59PM (AEDT) on 28 March 2025.

    • You have one year to spend the credits. Promotional credit will expire at 11:59PM (AEDT) on 28 March 2025

  • I want to buy a laptop just before I go travelling so I can claim it at the airport. Are gift cards going to muddy the waters and make this process more difficult, do you think?

    • You can ask for the refund to be put on a credit card (doesn't even have to be the one used to purchase the item) or bank account, so how you paid for the item shouldn't affect the refund process.

    • I've done this many times before. Tax refund goes by the invoice amount, the discounted amount you use to pay for the gift card is not on the invoice, in effect you are getting the discount amount back as extra GST back.

If you are talking about where the refund goes you can choose between credit card or bank account it has nothing to do with the payment method of the purchase.

      • Thank you for your helpful reply. Good to know, I was hoping you’d say so.

    • When you buy an item from Apple using your AppleID balance, the invoice simply says "credit card".

      • Ahh, thanks for your help. Makes sense now that you mention it.

    • No. You are paying via gift cards - its just a payment method. The invoice of the item will still be in the original price. The GST will also be calculated based on the original price.
It's irrelevant how you obtained these gift cards and how much you actually paid for the gift cards.

      • Sweet. Thank you.

  • Can I buy this and load it into my Apple account so the monthly storage amount is deducted from this?

    • +1

Yes, although if you shop at WW or Coles you would be better off waiting for one of those deals.

  • Hmm I'm still waiting for 15% off.

  • Doesn't feel like a good deal especially given it's just promo credit (and all the challenges which come with that).

  • need to buy mum the new iphone when it comes out in sept or whatever, could anyone recommend the best discount cards to jump on or anything, please? is 10% the best to hope for with apple generally?

    • +1

10% back as promo credit is generally the best you'll get, but very occasionally there will be a proper 10% off and rarely a 15% off. (I think the last time might have been this deal over a year ago: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/762500)

      • appreciate it! cheers

  • If you spend $400 do you get $32 or would it have to be in separate transactions or $200 each time?

  • Can I order multiple $200 cards and get multiple $16 credits?
