Best Place for Affordable Ralph Lauren Polos?

Hey all,

I was waiting for the boxing day sales to update my polo shirt collection but was very disappointed that the big retailers left most of the RL polo shirts at full price of around $139, with a few funky colours at 30% off.

Can anyone give me hints on where I might find them online at $100 or less? Of course I'm talking authentic and not cheap knock offs.

Also curious what the outlets charge these days. I am after white, blue, navy etc. The mainstream colours, not stripes in xxxl lol

Cheers

Lol why do you want them anyway? They look stupid.

  • You could consider installing/configuring a change notifying service that scans the most common websites to sell polos (there are free ones on the internet). While it's not guaranteed to work as sometimes they deals involve implementing a code, you can set to see any and all changes on the webpage itself. Good luck! And yes polos are pretty costly at ~100 a shirt, but hey to each their own ¯_(ツ)_/¯

  • Outlet store usually have them discounted time to time.

Which private school do your kids go to? The only place I’ve seen these on mass is when parents of private school kids combine for some kind of social, presumably because they feel it’s mandatory in some way.

They do make some nice things for sure, but ridiculously overpriced.

  • They make you look fantastic when you’re tucking into your lobster thermidor in the 1st class lounge en route to your family holiday on a private island. Most folk here are happy with KMart equivalent.

    Best place..???.

    In the 90s

    • Double polo with popped collar

  • Don't forget a Ferrari cap to compete the look.

I still own 5 of these shirts. I got into them in the early 00s when I thought they conveyed a sense of cache. Times have changed. They’re what stupid people think rich people wear.

I've always liked them too. They're quite mainstream now so I'm not sure about all the negativity around here. People post Tesla, BMW and wine deals on here and you ask about Ralph Lauren shirts and all of a sudden you must be a hedge fund manager from the eastern suburbs.

    • Haha good comment. It's certainly an upper market brand but hardly anything to scream home about. I still got some for many years ago too, when they were $50 sale price, but they are overdue for a renewal. Not sure if I'll go RL or something else.

Love the 'stupid people think rich people wear' comment
