Has to be 30gb data plan or above.

So my deal was

  • Has anyone tried using an external USB microphone with this tab? I tried connecting my Samson Go and whilst it seems to recognise the mic, nothing gets recorded. Same setup works fine on my Galaxy S20FE phone and iPad.

      Mine was due 23 July 2022 and is showing as $55 on a $496.94. Still showing as pending though.

        • Thinking it might have been the delayed release so optus did submit it along with others.

  • Guys, so disappointed with this tablet. At the moment, i my tablet got the WIFI connectivity problem. I couldn't connect to WIFI unless I stand beside the modem! I did reset the tablet and network setting but still facing the same problem. Who should i contact for help? Optus or Samsung?Thanks in advance!

      I get the impression the wifi antenna in these are from the Samsung bargain basement bin.

        No wifi issues with the few I've seen so far. A bunch of us bought a few units and they all seem to work fine with wifi.

          Mine technically works but at the same distance my phone and laptop are much more reliable.

    • I have already got rid of the tablet after using it for like a month. To make things worse, it has created an unnecessary need and I replaced it with a tab S7.

      Well at least my S7 now has 5g for a year.

    • Might be a update issue; my Linux Fedora install just decided to not connect to the home wifi; hopefully next update patch may rectify. If you factory reset, might revert to original firmware

        • I missed the July payment as they were charing me the full price of the tab $44 plus 12.50. It has been fixed now but I guess optus won't honor my cashback

      • Have you followed up with CR? I'm in the same boat, due 22/7 so it's been almost a month but still says pending.

          I emailed CR last week. They told me they have not received a update from optus. So the cashback will remain pending.

      yah just get them to cancel - in my opinion it is worth about 95 bucks only, so the 150 minus the 50 cashback, so all you are missing out on is the data sim anyway

      "If you get in touch through their app, they will tell you whether you were compromised

      They have added flash notes and if someone tries to change ownership they will be sent to store…. Unable to see which details have been leaked."

  • My power button has stopped working.. I've only figured it out because I can't put the screen to sleep or wake it up. I have to double tap the screen to get it on again. Anyone else having issues with their power button?

    • I did and a restart fixed it, think i was lucky there was a software update so I did that to trigger a restart

        That is pretty bad, can't believe why they keep your data, that total process is wrong, they shouldn't store records like DL, Passport and medicare even with customers, that is only purpose is to check credit rating/score. After that test, they should delete those data. Looks like someone internally support this.

      No contract devices from any carrier is locked. Only prepaid devices are locked.

      The Tab A8 4G doesn't have 5G connectivity.

  • Optus charged for Amazon prime SubHub last month, but 6 months trial has not expired yet. Trying support chat to fix now

      • 6.99 for last month. I think they tried to reduce the 6 month trial to 3 months. I had an expired Optus SIM in the previous year but it is no longer shown on my account. Possibly they counted a few months using that account. They refunded the charge when I complained
