I downloaded the app yesterday and received $100 usd of SG

AliExpress / Socialgood is tracking faster than cash rewards and shopback.

So this would be on top of that, providing you got the email or check in the app

      • any recommendations on what to buy for $100? Can't really find anything good

        • +3

Presents for your children or other children you know? Something nerf related.

Think it can be multiple to that value not in one transaction?

          • @Korban Dallas: Great idea! I think the order total has to be $100 or more and we might receive more emails about bonuses after placing this order.

    • Wer to see your SG balance?
Edit: found it, but says pending

  • Can you use coupon codes through the SG app or does it negate the SG tracking?

    • No haven't had that issue. But I have only used AliExpress coupons

    • +2

Coupons in eBay & Aliexpress do not void SG cashback (T&Cs says it does but reality is it doesn't)

      • I had the opposite experience with ebay 5% off coupon.
I couldn't come up with another explanation and support couldn't tell me why it didn't track either.

      • +1

Unfortunately, I had a different experience. I used one of the recent Ebay coupons - it never tracked. Then tried again without coupon and it tracked without issues.

So I think there is no way to know if it tracks with a specific coupon. I will play it safe and not use any coupons at all when using SG cashback.

        • Reason I asked was I spent $60 yesterday and have 10.xx SG pending for it. Seems low. Used whichever 5% was offered at checkout.

          • @BartholemewH: If you received SG then the transaction tracked. Possibly the $$$ discrepancy is:

            • eBay cashback only 50%
            • eBay cashback excludes postage
            • eBay cashback excludes GST

        Can confirm.

  • Got this too but can't for the life of me think of anything to buy lol

  • I've got a couple of hundred in SG, but no idea what to do with it. I use Trust wallet and it isn't supported. Can't withdraw it, can't stake it.

    • You better create account in bitmart. Create metamask wallet and connect with SG app. And from metamask transfer SGD to bitmart and sell it.

      • +1

Can withdraw direct from SG app to Bitmart (or Bittrex Global). Don't need to go via Metamask and spend gas fees

        • cool , did not know that….I thought by design SG app is not crypto wallet so need to route via metamask.

          • +1

@pyramid: Yeah, SG app is not wallet. The people behind it that run the reserve pool just move the coins across (I'm thinking manually) into your wallets. In the withdrawal page of the app you can put any ERC-20 address and it will withdraw directly into there. I learned the hard way in the first month how high ETH & Metamask gas fees are!

            • @tomclancy: Oh wow, do you pay any gas / fees if you use your own Ethereum address or do SG cover it?

              • +2

                @mikec: SG cover it.

If you withdraw directly from the SG app to your Bitmart or Bittrex Global account then the amount you receive is the amount shown in the app

            • +1

@tomclancy: Cool, this is why I never bothered. Is bitmart full KYC? Also , didn't they just get hacked

              • +1

                @tunzafun001:

                Is bitmart full KYC?

Yes… if you want full functionality

Also , didn't they just get hacked

                Yes

                • @tomclancy: Do I need to do KYC to cash out SG? Not keen on giving them my details if they were hacked.

  • +2

man everything about the site screams dodgy and scam to me but I'll trust the few OzB users who have reported positive experiences

even the email for the promo is structured no better than a scam chain email lol

    • Yeah. I never put any passwords in via the app.

  • +1

I know it wouldn't have cost anything to mint the SG tokens originally but 50% cashback on my hotel booking, plus 100USD referral bonus, plus 100USD thru this promo, plus 100USD for referring my partner…
Even if the price crashes I've barely paid a dime for my NYE/NYD accommodation once SG is converted to USDT….

If it's too good to be true it probably isn't very very very rarely fails to hold true >.<

Also, I doubt in reality this is even targetted

    • It is targeted. I didn't get it on my account.

      • Just came back here to correct that last part haha. I remembered that the email mentioned it was targeted to me because I had made a recent purchase

        • Yea, I made recent purchases too, but aren't targeted unfortunately. oh well!

  • How do you withdraw from social rewards?

    • via Bitmart which has recently been hacked or Uniswap which attracts higher fee and not as much liquidity.

  • Spent, but not tracking

  • Just purchased some stuff from Aliexpress and payment has gone through and order has been confirmed, but in the SG app, it has just hung at the screen with a star shaped progress bar? Should I be concerned about it not tracking in this case?

    • +1

      That's normal

      • Thanks mate. Hopefully use of discount codes won't invalidate the tracking.

So I spent the required amount, but about 7 mins before the offer was about to expire, I realised I was short a few bucks due to not taking into account shipping and quickly made a small purchase before the time expired. However, Aliexpress payment confirmation came through a few mins later. Does this mean, I won't meet the $100 spend requirement or should it be fine as long as my order was placed before expiry?
They really need to have more clear terms and conditions on these things.

  • Anyone know if it counts if you make the purchase within 48 hours but it doesn't track until the day after?

    • All of mine have tracked within 24 hrs. But I have only used AliExpress.

      • The bonus still says Pending so not sure if I've qualified in time.
