Tile Slim + Mate (2020) Bundle Aussie Flag Design US$19.99 (~A$28.10) + US$6 Delivery @ Tile

110

Tile has a Black Friday Sale on their webstore and has discounted all 2020 tiles 25-40%. They have an exclusive 'Australia Spirit' flag design heavily discounted to less than half the best price I could find locally.

  • Australia Spirit design Tile Slim (2020)+Tile Mate (2020) was US$52.99 now US$19.99
  • Australia Spirit design Tile Pro (2020) was US$36.99 now US$15.99
  • Other bundles and designs are on the web link but a little more expensive
  • It seems US$6.00 is flat rate shipping charge to Australia regardless of spend

I also found a weird bug in how they take payment if choosing PayPal checkout option. It triggers PayPal to take payment, which succeeds and THEN adds shipping and GST to the invoice AFTER it's charged. For me it only charged my account AU$58.01 for a US$50.58 order (emailed invoice lists items + shipping + 10% tax so I do not expect debate with customs). For this reason I didn't list GST in title, though mods may want to alter the post to reflect the PayPal win.

TL;DR: On Tile site when not signed in, add to cart then click PayPal NOT Checkout and you may get a better discount than in title :-)

I haven't owned any trackers before, but old posts tell me Tile's reputation is dropping. At $58 for 4 tiles I think it's worth a shot!

This is part of Black Friday / Cyber Monday deals for 2021

  • It didn't work for me but still bought them. There's a 15% email welcome code that I used. Gave $4ish additional discount. I bought 2 pro tiles, so maybe that is why it didn't work.

    • I assume signing up to the code will 'correct' their ordering process and their website adds shipping and tax before triggering PayPal. 15% off is still cheaper if buying >US$120 in items but I didn't get the pop-up.

The loophole I found is where paying with PayPal anonymously (i.e. not signed up/in) they pull the Name/Address info from PayPal to their site before calculating tax and shipping.

A couple of people reported this OOS, but I haven't pulled the post down as I can still buy them incl. the cheap Aussie flag design. Will update if that changes

    I wouldn't buy tile again
    Not worth it
    Hit and miss.
    Battery drains fast.

    • I read comments saying the same so I wouldn't pay retail prices, but I couldn't find any better product in reviews (Android user so AirTag not helpful). Did you find any brand more reliable?
