I have been using PennyTel data plan for quite awhile since I got my cheap Galaxy tab from Tesltra long long ago. Today when I went to their website to check if they have any price updates on their data plan (currently $8.88 for 1G), I realised they have this new all-you-can-eat type of mobile plan for only $35 per month and you get umlimited national calls and SMS. And I thought this is pretty good deal? Since the cheapest plan of this sort I know about is the Amaysim one which cost $39 per month.

I can't change my plan any time soon, cause I am locked to Virgin but hopefully this info can help somebody?

      20c per minute which is ridiculous. You can get Redbullmobile for much more inclusion (13/1300 + 1800) and cheaper as well if you buy the 365 + HTC Explorer package.

    Redbull mobile is way cheaper - $366 for a year - unlimited National calls, SMS, 5gb data + Free phone. Assuming you can sell the HTC phone, for $120, it turns out to be 67 cents per day as opposed to $1.16 a day with Pennytel (42% cheaper). Also, 1300 and 1800 numbers are included in the Redbull deal.

      Regardless of hanging off the vodafone network, I think Red Bull has a pretty sweet deal.

      Mr_alligator, but with PennyTel you don't have to pay the whole $366 all in one go, which I think to a lot of people is an substantial amount. If you really want to compare the 2, I think you should probably compare it to Red Bull's access 30 plan with 30 days expiry period, which also cost $39 per month? In this case, PennyTel is a sweeter deal.

      Again, I can only speak for myself on this but I never really have the need to make that many 1300 or 1800 numbers calls, so I probably won't pay the $4 extra every month just so I can make unlimited 1300 or 1800 calls.

    I wouldn't go near Pennytel with a ten foot pole. The number of people i see on Whirlpool who have problems with them is far too many. They only seem to attend to complaints if someone raises them on Whirlpool.

      Im with them using VOIP at home, havent had any issues. call quality is great, down to line rental on the home phone and thats it…. very close to cutting it off depending on how much the internet goes up.
