      I picked up mine for $389 in a 20% off sale on Ebay - and have it running as a second monitor (primary is Xiaomi 34").
      Quite happy that they delivered in under 2 weeks considering the original delivery estimate as 5-6 weeks. Happy with the monitor, although I don't play games, so don't really push the performance envelope at all.

          You can do it with a 3080 (i have one). But i switched to an ultra wide that isnt 4k and i prefer that for gaming

          My beastly little 970 is doing its damnedest to prove you wrong! Granted, with cute little indie games, with the settings set low, but still, it's pumping out the frames! Most modern GPUs will do a reasonable job at 4k on some older/not-quite-AAA games.

            @incipient: Yep I have this monitor and use a 1070ti. Does the job. I don't pay cutting edge fps or use mac settings. Eventually I'd like to move to a 1440p ultra wide with high frames and a pimped up gfx card.

        Generic statement with little value. Absolutely fine for gaming. Perfectly fine for 4X or other slow games, higher Hz is better for fps/twitch games.

        I have two of the 27" panels and they are amazing.

    Its very large she recommends sitting further back because its so large.

    I actually sit closer, because if you run it at 4K, the ppi is probably way lower than you are used to / your other desktop monitors.

    I have my main monitor (34" ultrawide with 110ppi) at 70cm in front of me, and this Dell 32" (138ppi) off to the side at around 60cm. This way, both screens are easily readable without zooming or scaling things. (My laptop screen at 157ppi is also about 60cm in front of me, but I mainly use that for video conferencing or chat, so the higher ppi doesn't matter so much.)

    No issues with the screen being too large at that distance (I mainly use it in split screen anyway).

    Works well for me! YMMV.

          I bought one during the previous Dell eBay sales on the back of @caprimulgus' advice on ~50cm distance being about right. Delivery is scheduled tomorrow, will report back after a few days of work use.

        Ok… After limited use due to a couple of delivery issues (thanks Star Track!), it finally landed yesterday. Unfortunately only a short shakedown time but these are some initial thoughts running at 125% scaling with viewing distance at ~50cm:
        - great for work use with split screen (typically one with wireframes and the other with jira; it's really nice to be able to see a full page wire in detail without having to scroll)
        - works great on this makeshift standing desk, height adjustability is adequate
        - ootb settings are ok, will play with calibration today, but fine in this low-light room
        - speakers are surprisingly serviceable
        - viewing distance of 45cm is ok, but 50cm is my sweet spot (this is highly subjective/personal)

        Due to its width, I have purchased a webcam to perch on the monitor as my laptop is now offset to the side a bit too far and the camera on that is at a weird angle now.

        Still early days, but very happy with this monitor and echoing what other posters have said - I wish I had bought this sooner!

      Metrication in Australia effectively began in 1966 & in Europe 1790s. How many centuries do we need to convert to useful standards?
      Are we too slow learners? I would leave the conversion to the stubborn ones that refuse to standardize.

      Yeah for whatever issue you can’t get 60hz on HDMI for Mac. You’ll need a DisplayPort adapter.

    I am using two of these monitors with a 3080rtx, I can say that it works ok as you do get random screen turns black for a second.

    However……coming from a twin 1440p led panel, I am not use to VA panels as they just dont look great, response rate when switching video are visible as the screen will go slightly blur, colour looks faded before it gets brighter…and clearer (1 sec) you can only see this when switching wall papers, videos not that much.

    Not sure if I have got a faulty panel or the 3080 rtx just couldnt handle the two monitors.

      Given this monitor support Free-Sync instead, would this be a better buy than the S2721DGF with G-Sync?

    I have this monitor and the colours are not great compared to my IPS 24 inch. Viewing angle is also bad. Text is very clear though. Overall it is good value for a 4k 32 inch but you get what you pay for. I'd go for a 27 IPS if you want accurate colours and good viewing angle.

      VA will never match IPS for viewing angles, but this is a very good 4k monitor for the price.

      After calibration, the color accuracy is exceptional. The remaining color inaccuracies shouldn't be noticeable without the aid of a colorimeter. White balance is nearly perfect, and the color temperature is much closer to our 6500K target. Gamma is much better, but near-dark scenes and very bright scenes are too bright.

      You can download our ICC profile calibration here. This is provided for reference only and shouldn't be used, as the calibration values vary per individual unit even for the same model due to manufacturing tolerances.

    im sitting about 50cm from my 32" 4k monitor and it seems perfect, any closer and I get eye strain and any further it will probable be too hard to read.

    If you already have this monitor, can you daisy chain from the existing dell monitor to another dell monitor? So you only have one hdmi going into your laptop.

      Doubt it. Both HDMIs are inputs only. To be honest, I thought daisy-chaining was only supported on USB-C Displayport.

      Any multiplayer fast paced game you have a disadvantage with 60Hz going up against people with higher refresh rates, especially in shooters.

      If you didn’t do any multiplayer gaming, this would be fine but best to go lower resolution and highest refresh rate possible for your budget for more kills.

    Each monitor colour profile is different, you can’t just use someone else’s icc profile, you might actually get worse calibration if you do so.

      I've got it and Windows doesn't even detect the panel as HDR ready so go figure. Haven't tried with Xbox yet.

      The viewing angles are much better than I expected for a VA panel, the curve definitely helps on that front. To give you an idea I have the monitor to my side as my laptop seats in front of me and it's fully usable.

      So far the only things I haven't been able to take is this weird self adjustment it does to try and keep contrast in check, which I suppose would be fine for movie or gaming but it's very jarring for office work and the content is not covering the whole screen.

      I also haven't been able to get 4k60hz HDMI working from the dock (dock supports it). Laptop cannot do 4K60hz on built in HDMI port either so I cannot confirm if HDMI can do 60hz 4k. Display Port works fine with 4k 60hz though.

        You have to enable HDR in the monitor menu, off by default. Doesn't make much of a difference anyway IMHO.

          I quickly played around with those but didn't do anything to windows settings. I might have to enable it then replug the monitor.
          Based on the max brightness rating I don't think it'll be anything of substance though.

            It made very little difference other than Windows detecting the HDR feature.

              By any chance do you have you experienced that weird contrast keeping behaviour? It's like the screen tries to adapt to content shown and as result hue slightly changes.
              How to reproduce for me is:
              Open a full screen image and wait a few seconds, the screen starts changing hue, quickly open a web page or something with white and the white appears orange-ish.
              If I don't make the image full screen (either by zooming out or having it side by side next to something else) the hue shift does not occur.
              I first suspected it could be a display driver quirk but it doesn't do it on the laptop monitor. I will have to investigate the Intel drived settings a bit more as every enhancement setting on monitor is turned off…

    Recently purchased one of these - unboxed it, and within 5 minutes the mount holding the screen gave way, causing the screen to fall over. Luckily the screen isn't damaged. I have a case open with Dell, but seeing inside the mount, it really does not look robust considering the weight of the screen. https://imgur.com/a/V4WXajV

    Bought a 27" Samsung shallow curved. Ok pix but why does it have volume control and no speakers? Once stand is in, getting it wall mounted is a nightmare.

    I'll add another vote for this monitor - I bought at the $389 deal recently.
    The screen is very sharp, and the speakers actually sound really nice
    but the contrast is poor, the blacks are not black enough. Still good value for money because unless you have had a screen with better blacks you don't know what you've missed.

    I'm gaming on an Rtx3070 4k and getting 55-60FPS - however I haven't confirmed all of those FPS are getting to the screen - how do you test the screen refresh is at 60hz? I do have vsync turned on.

      I was - switched cable/adapter and they're gone! (I was using an USB-C to hdmi adpater and an HDMI cable, and switched to a direct USB-C to HDMI cable - I don't think this was the important part though, just switching to a different cable. I havent tested to confirm whether it was an issue with the adapter)

      I have my work laptop connected to HDMI and don't get it, but my home PC connected over display port does get the annoying 1 second blackouts sometimes. A reboot fixes it so for me it's probably driver related.

    Beautiful screen, connected to a PC and to a Tv tuner.

    When neither are on, screen endlessly searches for a source, never just goes into standby.

      Mine has a count down timer bar, and goes to sleep properly - so must be an issue with your setup!

      Not sure if a setting, or bad connection or something…but good luck! :)

      Edit: sorry, the countdown timer (4min) is when you physically disconnect. When the source is just turned off, it just has a box saying no source, then a shut down / standby box (turns off much quicker).
