What kind of lifestyle do you have to have where a $199 charger has an ROI over a normal QR charger? Or even plugging it in?

I know this has been discussed to death but what an insane price point. I get the 'portability' argument, but hey this is COVID times. No-one is travelling with their pocket sized charging unit to delicately lay out on their Hotel bedside table.

    • What ROI are you looking for in chargers?

      • Time over a $20 QI or included Apple charger to justify $200.

Wow! To add salt on the 179$ wound - you have to supply your own power adapter.

  • Just stupid when a charger costs more than a budget phone. Also crazy when a case (at the apple store) costs more than a phone

I like Apple products but that's a ridiculous price

  • If you don't buy this your friends will think you are poor.
If you do buy this you will be poor.

  • Just as well they weren't able to release their "AirPower" charger, would have cost at least $499.

  • Is this the product they worked on for three years? I thought they cancelled it (after announcing it).

  • I am such a fanboy but honestly even I can't defend this product. First the price, but also what is the point of a magnetisation for a wireless charger that's supposed to stay stationary on your desk? Are you supposed to pry it from your phone every time you use it?
