Ebates 15% Cashback at Eastbay for 1 Week

60

Ebates is increasing cashback for select stores to 15% for a week.

Athletic goods retailer Eastbay is a participating store that ships internationally.

Combined with their current $20 off $120 code (LKS1653B - can be combined with cashback) - these might offset high international shipping costs of 28% (min $39.99 USD).

There are also some exceptions to what you can buy:

"Eastbay: Cash Back is not available on purchase of gift cards, Nike Air Foamposite, Lunarglide 6, Jordan, Kobe, Durant, Under Armour Curry, Lebron and Yeezy shoe releases. Use of promotional/coupon code not found on Ebates may void Cash Back."

Ebates also offer a $10 USD sign up bonus on referral. This is my referral link

PS: Ebay US is also there - but the 15% applies only in limited categories (Baby, Pottery).

Does one need to be a master of ebating?

With cash back sites , your kind off taking a gamble. If it doesn't track or retailer rejects the cash back then your pretty much screwed . If not for the ridiculously high postage costs, I'd give it a go as I wouldn't be loosing much if cashback does not track

I recently got rejected Sony cash back of $40 from price pal even though I did everything by the book.

Nice to see a company other than CR get negative feedback ;) (not pointing fingers at you EC just in general)

    • The bigger cashback sites like Topcashback and Ebates are generally pretty good.

I keep a clean browser just for this purpose and read carefully any exclusions - but if they are an unethical company maybe they will screw you anyway. Not sure where sony fits in this picture.

Also, when you deal with a big company like ebay (usually ok) - cashback sites often let you know they will not accept inquiries about missing cashback.

Personally, I have received Ebates cashback from Eastbay before - my memory is hazy but I think it might have even included the shipping amount.

      • I used a clean browser , no ad block and no coupon code

        It still got rejected so.

just pointing out that don't count any saving from your purchase via cashback until you actually receive it .

        YMMV

        • Yup - comes down to the merchant you choose and what they choose to honour. Can't speak for sony as never tried with them.

As a comparison - with this deal it'd be (USD figures):

          $120 purchase + $40 shipping = $160
          -$20 for the code = $140

          • 15% cashback of $21 or $15 (depending if shipping is included)
          • $10 ebates sign up

Gives you $120 USD of goods for either $109 USD or $115 USD shipped.

        • @gringo:
          At current 0.73 exchange rate
          $109 USD = $145 AUD
          $115 USD = $157 AUD

So Effectively you will be buying $160 USD and paying $160~AUD 1-1 exchange rate.

        • @Ghossst:

all the amounts were given in USD.. there is no conversion

    • I got my Sony cash back rejected too
$40 transaction was recorded. Looked back into my account and it says $6 transaction recorded. 9 cents payout.

Seems like pricepal have the ability to alter numbers…. Probably won't use them again.
Contacted them on Facebook. "Seen" was the response I got
