Also, don't forget many credit cards have tvl ins so worth checking yr cc before booking (or after). Some cards cover just by paying $250 of something to do w' the trip eg hotel, car, flights etc. Some cards are greedy and want you to put everything on the card.
But $250 excess (most travel cards I've looked at) is much more than ~$68 + $100 excess (or $98 waived) (sample of duinsure for my upcoming US trip)
