Noticed this problem in a previous post. Increasing the unpublish time to at least 10 minutes would allow enough time for commenters to highlight any problems with the deal such as being a mistake or unobtainable.

People worry about their “ozbargain reputation”?
Exactly, it brings forward a bad culture as majority of people do it when they receive backlash about their deal (or low upvotes) in order to save their reputation.

It is already set to 10 minutes, however if the deal post has comment(s), then you will need to report it for a mod to remove.
OPs have 10 minutes to unpublish new nodes that do not have comments yet

I think 5 minutes is fair, beyond that contact the mods for help. Otherwise people will cop the heat and rush to delete the post in the interests of saving their reputation; You should be checking and making sure the deal is good before you post. Not posting and getting people’s opinions then deleting if it’s not in your favour.
