[SUBS] Oppenheimer Will Be Available to Stream from Friday 22 March @ Netflix

4094

More of a PSA for those tempted to purchase/rent this movie, particularly given all the recent awards success. But if you can wait six more days, it’ll be free to stream on Netflix from this coming Friday March 22. I believe it is also coming to Binge on the same day. Enjoy.

Users who wish to Block "Additions to Streaming Services" can do so by clicking on the Streaming Service Addition tag, then clicking the 3 dot menu, then clicking hide on new deals and/or front page. Ensure that on the home page, the new front page is selected for customisation to show. Video Instructions here or More info here.

I don't get it how movies being added to streaming services are bargains. It's the same as free to air channels showing something for the first time being a bargain…

use the 'report' button to alert admins.

      • +8

Or just block the tag, rather than waste their time

        • Most deals posted with the "Subscription" tag are valid - e.g. cheap/free access. Not just updates on the latest addition.

          • +2

@bargaino: The 'Streaming Service Addition' should work then.

          • +1

@bargaino: If only there were instructions or even video instructions posted on how to get around that posted in the deal…

            • @Gehirn: Look at the OP, instructions are there.

            • @Gehirn: Did it even occur to you that the specific tags and instructions were added later?

              Thanks alvian for that! Appreciated.

        • +1

What’s the point in blocking the tag when they use “entertainment” which can cover anything

    • +12

You can hide [SUBS] of you don't like them

    • +1

at least free to air channels are free ;)

I agree with the principle, but posts like these have helped me in the past, so I think they’re still worthy, especially if they continue to help others.

If not relevant to you, just ignore and move on; there are dozens of posts on this site that are irrelevant to me and often a bit obscure, but if they help others, I think that’s great. Sometimes if I’m curious, I’ll click in to learn something. Otherwise I just continue scrolling.

I was gonna buy the movie this weekend. Now I can wait 6 more days and watch it for free as I already have Netflix subscription. Certainly helped me saving few $. Thanks mate!

      • Couldn't have said it better myself!

      • -4

If not relevant to you, just ignore and move on

If that's how it's supposed to be, then the mods shouldn't be banning so many other posts which also could be relevant to others.

    • +2

You can hide [SUBS] of you don't like them.

Ps watched it ages ago on Stremio, good movie.

    • +2

I don't get it how we still get these comments years after the topic was put to bed.

    • +3

I feel like this comment is pretty much copy and pasted on every SUBS post and then the exact same points are made in reply… Literal insanity.

      • Just wait and hear from the moderators about it for the hundredth time too.

    • +1

I don't get it how movies being added to streaming services are bargains.

Only if we can still get Netflix cheap.

      • If only there was a way to block these deals in the description so you didn't get annoyed ………….

Don't waste the mods' time with frivolous reports. Especially when there is already a way to block them.

    • I’m against video streaming services and don’t have any. However, I think it’s not the same as free to air as you can choose to watch it whenever you want more than once.*

      • until they remove it.
    • -2

yeah agree. Never got that logic too

  • +2

How can I save my little boy from Oppenheimer's deadly toy?

  • +8

that's a shame that Netflix removed my Turkish subscription

@blehgg: Shiver me timbers… hope they do not make you walk the plank. Bit hard with a peg leg and an eye patch.

        • RD?

          • @Mondorock: Real debrid

Real-Debrid is an unrestricted downloader that allows you to quickly download files hosted on the Internet or instantly stream them into an innovative web…

            • @xoom: How's that different to BitTorrent?

              • @Mondorock: Suggest you set it up and test it out, I was A bit sceptical at the start and didn't realise how it works either.
You don't have to manually search a download any torrents, it just starts streaming them from a different cache server.

              • @Mondorock:

                How's that different to BitTorrent?

RD download them for me and you stream from them directly at the fastest speed.

For many here that was the day of enlightenment….all hail Stremio & RD

    • I rented it from Apple TV+ with Turkish account for 4.99 lira which is about $0.25. or you can buy it for 19 lira, about $0.90

  • +2

My Netflix payment method got cancelled and I lost access mid payed month, I've had this movie on Plex for several weeks.

    • +1

Do a charge back if you haven't I did with Macquarie and I got it in like a week.

      • +2

I did a chargeback with Revolut and got it, they should have notified us via email at the least.

  • +4

It'll probably be 1080p knowing Netflix.

    • +1

I recall Interstellar being just 'HD' on Netflix, so you might be right. It's a UHD Bluray Remux for me, with the IMAX aspect ratio kicking in when necessary.

  • +12

i watched it on stremio 4k bluray quality weeks ago

    • +2

Arrrghh, you be slow to the game, matey.

    • Nice. Which Addon?

      • +3

        RD and torrentio

  • +23

I would like to thank Netflix for terminating my Turkish subscription. Since sailing back into the high seas I no longer have to worry about "does Netflix have X". I have watched this movie and can confirm it's enjoyable. Glad they are adding it for the people paying them a questionably high subs fee.

    • +4

Couldn't agree more! Saving so much money using Stremio and RD. Only downside is that i cant share login with family

      • With RD subscription, can you watch live streams also? Like live sports etc?

        • +1

Nope not live stream. Check IPTV

        • Use Kodi and The Loop addon

          • @Mr Fusi0n: I got Kodi for tv streaming, so does that loop add-on allow sports (usually it reverts to border patrol or something and have to watch using the tv and antenna.

      • -1

Can do an Amazon prime stuff too through Stremio / RD links?

        • +1

Everything that has ever been released all in one place ☠️ ⛵🌊

      • you can in the same household IP address

        • Yip, but not outside the household

          • @HunterDes: you can, for example if you went on holiday, you can use it, but no one at home can, one IP at a time

      • Why can't we share the login? Would it not work if I gave them my username / password?

        • +1

Didnt try it. Reddit says that RD will give you a warning and then suspend your account

    • Was it a new turkey account? I've been going strong for 9 years!

    • +1

Best site to download 4k movies? So sad ever since RARBG went down

      • +1

        I use 1337x.

Not for movies I don't own of course, just Linux distros and cat pictures.

        • Don’t think 1337x has 4k torrents?

        • Yeah, I stream 4K Linux distros all day.

      • +1

I use bitsearch to find magnets and avoid the crappy sites

  • +1

After watching this movie, I have no doubt that we, not aliens, built the pyramids.

  • +11

But who even bothers with a Netflix sub anymore?!??

  • +8

I'm happy I experienced Oppenheimer in 4K Ultra HD on Blu-ray without the streaming compression artifacts and audio degradation.

It's a shame that streaming is killing the Blu-ray market and people don't care about the quality of the product. It's all about quantity.

  • -2

Sweet I’ll watch it coming back on the plane from
    Japan

  • +2

Already watched on Stremio. What is Netflix by the way?

    • What is Stremio by the way? Haven't watched on Netflix yet.

      • +2

Join Stremio, You’ll forget Netflix very soon.

    • -7

      Truth hurts neggers 😂

    • I actually agree with you. Way too long and too much talking.

      • Needed more bombs and explosions….

  • I have only prime and Apple TV + :(

  • If it's your thing, this has been available on certain high seas for months now

  • +1

Haven't been back on Netflix after they kicked us out.

  • +13

Such a dull boring movie. Guaranteed to put anyone to sleep.

    • It seemed ok. Passed the time fairly fast.
Try watching Flowers of the Killer Moon - now that really dragged and was unnecessarily long (3h27m). They could have told that story in 15 minutes.

      • I thought both of those movies were good, and not unnecessarily long.

I disliked Saltburn though, started off good, just went nowhere imo…and I tuned out of The Creator really fast.

        Different strokes for different folks.

        • Yeah was alright cinematography.
It's just these new format of movies that are 3h plus, bit hard to cop at the movies but people will binge a lot of episodes lol

    • The alternative would be the Barbie movie.

    • Yeah, free sleep meds are the real bargain here

    • -2

poor baby couldn't concentrate on the movie without subway surfers and family guy clips next to it

      • they should stick to marvel and superhero movies lol
