  • How can you not buy this?

as a normie, what is it other than a general multi purpose screw driver?

      • +1

You could use two Wera 813 R screwdrivers for knife maintenance where the pivot screw might spin freely.

At least, that's how I justified getting a second one.

I got this Kraftform 10 Piece Set for the pocket knives, it has the same driver as this deal but also has T5, 6, 7, 8, 9 and Phillips P00, 0, 1 and 2. It's a good kit being all together. https://www.amazon.com.au/dp/B0061N932Q

          • @LowRange: Wow very nice! I’ve never seen that set before. I already have 2 tool kits that I use for my pocket knives but I’m so tempted to get that 10 pc set.

@jallen89: Yes it's a great set. I got this https://www.amazon.com.au/dp/B001US4RMI? Wiha first, because places like MetalComplex recommend it. The bits seem really well made, and the case is good but i don't like the bits being a separate unit than the driver. So i got this all in one Wiha set https://www.amazon.com.au/dp/B00XIQ12ZK

But the driver's a bit big for knives and smaller tasks, also the bits are hard to get in and out of the storage slots. And it's hard to see what size bit you are pulling out, so it was my least favorite.

This https://www.amazon.com.au/dp/B0061N932Q Wera Kraftform is by far my favorite, small compact driver with quality bits and the perfect size driver for things like pocket knives. Plus its all one unit. I'll try and remember to throw up pics tomorrow. They have 2 configurations, the one i posted and this one which has some flathead drivers and less Torx. Not as good for know, but may be better for other uses. https://www.amazon.com.au/WERA-Compact-Bitholder-Bit-10-Piec…

@jallen89: Here's the different torx sets, with a Wera Tool Check Plus and Spyderco PM3 for size comparison. https://i.imgur.com/8QxgZAV.jpeg

              • @LowRange: Nice! I always preferred the Para 3 over the PM2. My knife maintain tools consist of Wiha and Wera bits. When I first got into knives, I used a cheap bit and stripped a T6 screw. Took me ages to remove the bloody thing. Been buying high quality bits ever since.

    • literally how universities and bunnings operate! selling stuff that just screams "never mind reality, think of the possibilities".

  • Sadly there's no ratcheting version. Otherwise I think it would be extremely popular.

  • Will probably get lost but why not….. :D
