    What voltage is this?

  • +9

LOL I thought it was a "Walkman" CD Player. You know - those big round things we used to walk around with in our hands that we considered "portable", at the time.

Put a ipod and speaker dock on the Roomba to make DJ Roomba

Just make sure Jerry doesn't step on it…..

Rep - Any deals on girlfriend robots?

    • +7

They are pretty cheap to buy, but the ongoing costs are huge.

      • exactly … high maintenance lolz

      • +2

Really? Mine has been fine for the last two years apart from having clean it out occasionally and parts seem cheap enough.

        • +2

i meant high maintanance about the girlfriend robot :p

        • Opps, sorry my bad

        • +5

Actually those comments still apply :)

      • plus they leak fluid once a month

    • OzBargain solves all problems:

      iRobot Roomba Vacuum (Amazon)- $327
      Sandwich Maker (Bi-Lo/Coles)- $2-4
      Coffee Pod Machine (Kmart)- $29

And I swear I saw a s*x doll bargain that was taken down a while back…

      • Perhaps a viable wife replacement through (semi-)automated product substitution?

  • We love our Roomba 560. It shipped from Amazon with an Australia adapted (240hz and 3-prong plug) power pack.

  • Are we sure that this ships with a 220V power supply? Because if it doesn't, it is not a cheap conversion.

Edit: Yep it is 110 volt. This might end up being an OK deal anyway, but you will need to source the 240V power supply yourself. I believe it isn't a good idea to get cheapo ones on eBay. This place sells them for $49.95.

Edit 2: I revoked my neg because I'm incline to think that because Amazon is shipping it to Australia, they must be shipping it with a 220V power supply. They never used to ship these to Australia. If any of you are thinking about buying one, I would suggest getting a confirmation from Amazon first.

haha, Jesse Pinkman had one of these!

  • Yeah I can't find where it has the voltage.

seems like amazon ship the international ones with a 220v charger as per ndenham's comment

otherwise they wouldn't offer it to oz/ European countries customers.

      • +2

well actually they would… they ship lots of things that are 100% not compatible like aquarium pumps and vacuum cleaners.

I am not saying this is or it isn't, but just because Amazon ship it here does not guarantee it will work out of the box.

  • How well can these robot vacuum perform against the tradition handheld vacuum?

    • iRoomba < iGirlfriend < iWife

    • Well they can 'suck' the hell out of everything in your house

    • They do a great job. Once in a while you might want to use the hand held around the skirting boards, but other than that I am hugely impressed with mine.

  • I like samsung navi bots better, it kills roomba"s in battle!

    • link or it didn't happen

        • hahaha that is funny. These things are made to complement the traditional vaccumm. Not to replace them.

    • And the LG roboking is even better. What is your point?

    • I just bought this and the power supply for Australia from eBay. Please note the link above is for the incorrect power supply. The same seller has the correct one however at $42.35 posted.

      Link http://bit.ly/Y1H4k3

      • the one i posted above is identical and $5 cheaper..

  • For dog owners I would not recommend buying this without local warranty. Just sent my Roomba 530 for the 5th repair in 2 years but luckily I bought extra 4year extended warranty. Motor replacement module costs approx $100 each.

    • We have 2 totally indoor cats, & our Roomba's been going for almost a year without an issue. We do make sure to clean it out and remove all hair from the rollers after every vac though. Maybe you've just had a dud?

  • trying to decide between this robot or a normal vacuum cleaner. will this replace the need for a vacuum?

i live in a 90m2 mostly floor boarded apartment with two carpeted rooms….

    any advice ??

  • Price has just dropped to $284 + Delivery = $312 Delivered

    • It's back to US$299 and on back-order :(

  • Great. I have been looking for a Roomba for our cat.

  • $389.00 now

    • choose Amazon as seller from Rt hand side , and its available for backorder

  • Has anyone received this? Was it 240v supply?
