Long time watching, first time poster.

I've been following PS Vita deals for a while, I just found this, not as good as the other deals but still cheaper than here.

deal is valid for 24 hours only.

Note: add a 16GB mem card which is also on sale to see the total price.

You can get the PS Vita Wifi alone for ~ $185 delivered

  • these prices are absolutely amazing
worth it even for custom firmware to replace a psp for bigger screen and dual stick controls
also good to have multiple region vitas

    • They already have CFW on Vita?

      • For the PSP emulator they do. But I thought all the hackable games had been pulled from PSN? Or has there been more progress.

Btw, still wouldn't consider this cheap with the massive lack of games when looking ahead to 2013.

        • Is the PSP emulator homebrew or Sony made?

How do you play dual stick for PSP games which don't support them?

        • it uses sonys psp emulation and you load isos you tell the vita what function to use for right stick such as dpad or the buttons

  • +1

    only in psp mode.

  • The charger fit in Australian sockets?

    • Pretty sure Italy and Australia have different sockets… You will need an adaptor.

    • Just buy a plug adapter off eBay.

I took delivery of a PS Vita from Amazon.it this week. The power cord is European but it's removable from the power supply. Replace it with a generic Australian power cord. You probably already have half a dozen in the house anyway. Something like this: http://www.jaycar.com.au/productView.asp?ID=PS4115

I got LittleBigPlanet with my Vita. Packaging is all Italian but the game is in English.

      • I can just use my PSP one! Awesome.

      • How long was delivery roughly? Express option for a bit quicker?

(apols for abruptness, writing on my phone)

    • The power supply for the vita is a power brick with a usb port (1.5A, so it charges faster than on a standard USB port). The power cord to the wall is figure 8 plug, similar to that of camera battery chargers and some simple audio equipment, it's a very common standard plug (see pic below). The power supply's input is rated between 100 - 240v so by simply replacing the power cord with one you already have it will work fine for Australian walls.

  • I need a bigger memory card 4 gig just isn't enough just purchased a 12 month playstation plus membership and can only fit 2 games on the vita at a time.

    • Buy a 16GB one.

      • +2

        Buy a 32GB one.

        • +1

          Buy a 64GB one.

          … Oh :(

        • +1

          Buy a 1FluxCapacitor one.

        • Might have to put that on my home loan.

      • Yeah what's the best place to buy?

        • They're a rip off, but Ozgameshop was cheapest before selling out, now best bet eBay!

        • They are expensive would be good if there was a hack so we could use cheap micro sd cards.

        • Superufo seems to be the cheapest (not including shipping)
          $76.50 USD for 32gb
          $48.81 USD for 16gb

        • It's almost worth buying this bundle and flogging of the console, might even make a profit. eBay is another good place, but usually its better value to buy a console bundle…eg PS Vita + 2games + 16gb card for 250$ or something like that, then just sell what you don't want.

  • Is there anything i should know before i buy an overseas model? PSN wise, game wise, or unknown?

    • Us psn has more games etc I purchased a us ps + membership from amazon a few days ago. Game dlc seems to be locked to the region of the game you have.

    • It doesn't matter what model you get, you can use any region PSN or game. Just remember that you can only use one PSN account per console, so choose whether you want a PAL or USA account, because as ausbob71 said the DLC you buy needs to match the games region.

      • You could setup two or more memory cards with different psn accounts is a bit of mucking around though. There is a YouTube video explaining how it done.
