These active noise cancelling earphones from Xiaomi backed 1MORE are back on sale and this time available in Black, Blue and Silver. I picked these up in the last deal to replace my ageing TaoTronics ANC headphones and found them to be excellent at blocking out nearly all the plane sounds in a few recent flights. Plus they were comfortable to wear while sleeping onboard.

Featuring 40mm drivers, up to 70 hours of battery life, active and passive noise cancelling modes with 5 ENC mics, Bluetooth 5.0 / 3.5mm audio jack, LDAC codec support for Hi-Res Audio buttons for media control, phone app to change EQ modes, firmware updates etc, dual device connection support, foldable design and an inbuilt mics with noise reduction for calls.

These are often compared to the Soundcore Q30's, very similar, probably same kind of audio quality, ANC, etc. but with coupon code 0UCCYFGR are $90 on Amazon

    • Audio quality is regarded as better, ANC regarded about the same but different implementations. Q40s have better ANC but still inferior audio quality.

This is probably the pick for most people in this price range, and probably all most people need for public transport usage until there's a much bigger upgrade to ANC and Bluetooth implementations.

      • I've got some aging Bose QC 35 II. I'm guessing that this deal would be a step down? Or is this one of those "brand name" premium situations, and this $100 range in lower market visibility brands can compete in audio and nc quality?

It would beat the QC35 II on audio quality (especially after EQ), ANC would be maybe the same, or slightly worse, probably weaker in windy conditions/riding. Supports LDAC if you have an android phone.

But if you can get the battery replaced and order replacement pads for the QC35 II for under say $40, perhaps that's a better option for now.
