New Provider for FTTN nbn Question

Hi, currently with AGL NBN Kimberley, WA

AGL had a $69/month (100/20) deal for 6 months.

It will go up to $89/month next month

Connection is FTTN

Will the connection have any downtime if I change to a new provider?

Do I need to change anything when it comes to the modem settings?

Thanks everyone

the connection will have like 5 minutes downtime to resync assuming you cancel the AGL connection after you sign up to a new provider. If you change to a new provider it will depend if they use DHCP or PPPoE if you will have to change your modem settings or not.

    • They use PPPoE

      • Just need to change the details over in the router settings pretty easy to do should be some guides online.

  • Yeah downtime will be kept to a minimum practically non existent as the switch is largely automated now a days. Just don't cancel your AGL connection until your new connection is active.
