2x Texan Bacon Deluxe Burgers for $10 (Usually $19.30) @ Hungry Jack's - Pick Up Only (App Required)

1890

Noticed this deal whilst browsing the HJ's App after hearing that the Big Jack has returned (no deals on them yet unfortunately). You can obtain 2 Texan Bacon Deluxes for $10. Buying 2 separately will normally set you back $19.30. The Texan Bacon Deluxe consists of 2 beef patties, 2 cheese slices, bacon, BBQ sauce, lettuce, tomato and Peppercorn Sauce in a toasted sesame seed bun (not as catchy as the Big Mac jingle). No expiry date given. The offer can be found under the Jack's App Deals section of the menu in the app.

"One burger is better than the other at Hungry Jack's"

    • -1

Told you not to pile up fillings to one burger and leaving the buns behind. No one will eat it for you.

    🤗

  • +7

    Tiny ass burger.

    • +18

      But they're usually $19.30 for 2.

I remember when 2 Whoppers were $5.99 with the vouchers & they were big.

      • +2

$22.30 for two, at my local ($11.15 each)

      • +3

I remember working at HJ's as a teenager when you could get 2 Whoppers for $3.25 on a voucher

      • +2

2 x Bacon Deluxes for $5.50 with voucher back in my uni days.

    • +2

Yeah don't be deceived by pics they're smaller than whopper

      • +6

Correct. This burger uses the 4 inch patties that also get used in the regular Bacon Deluxe, the Whopper Junior and the Cheeseburgers. The Whopper uses 5 inch patties.
Also less kilojoules than the whopper. 2240 (TBD) vs 2750 (Whopper).

    • I enjoy getting to the chocolate centre.

  • +18

Wish they’d cook the bacon properly

    • +12

I know right?? Its practically raw everytime i get it. You're getting bacon flavour but no bacon texture

      • +4

some of us dont prefer the crispy style

        • +5

I downvoted you. Bacon must be well cooked.

        • Yeah crispy bacon sucks!

    • +8

      Greg, is that you?

      • That’s who I was quoting😀

    • +7

It gets microwaved, warmed up is all you get.

    • +4

When I used to work for KFC years ago, I would sometimes go against procedure and heat the bacon by putting it in the deep fryer for a few seconds instead of the microwave to save time!

    • +6

And it's more like a ham than actual bacon. They use that cheap brined 'bacon' that isn't smoked. But don't worry it will have been baked.

    • +1

Just had one today. Totally agree. Under cooked bacon, smaller than whooper. Totally underwhelmed.
Is this just a whooper junior with bacon?

      • +1

No, it has 2 pieces of meat and cheese. It's the same size bun/meat as a Whopper Jnr though.

    • On a burger, I prefer it how HJs do it.

McDonalds bacon (for example) is like eating boot leather in comparison to HJs, even when it's fresh.

  • +1

    These are pretty good.

  • +10

Thanks for detailed instructions on where to find. Silly place to put deals… you have to actually go start an order at a store, instead of it just being listed when you first log on.
I wouldn't have bothered to dig deeper to find it otherwise.

  • -2

Must be targetted as I dont have this deal rip

    • +2

I thought the same… but you have to select a store and go into the order page to start an actual order.
At the very top is the deals, with this one included.

      • +1

Oh yeah you are correct its not in rewards section but in order section thx.

  • the Big Jack has returned

    Along with the lawsuits??

  • +3

It's apparently $11.15 for a single Texan Bacon Deluxe at my local

$10 for the two isn't too bad at all, considering

  • +10

$10 for two is acceptable, given back in the day $8 for 2x Bacon Deluxe was one of my fav deals on the old vouchers.
    Close enough, I'll take it.

    • +1

I'm still grieving the 2-for-1 Chicken Crunch Tuesdays.

  • +4

The peppercorn and bbq sauces are gross - it tastes like a sugar syrup.

  • +3

I still prefer the classic whopper. Wish they do more deals for those

    • +7

The daily spinner in the app often spins up a $4 whopper or a $2.50 whopper junior which is pretty reasonable, one is about right for me, if i eat two i feel gross.

      • Didn't know that. Thx. I usually get chips or something I dun want

  • +5

    thanks ate both myself

  • +7

Haven't tried these but if you are a fan of the normal Bacon Deluxe you can customize the offer on the app.

Remove the Peppercorn Sauce & BBQ Sauce and replace with Mayo. Comes out to $10.60 with the changes.

    • Also the regular bacon deluxe is $5 on shake n win, sadly now perma increased from $4 it seems.

  • -1

way too expensive, they used to be 2 for 5 didn't they back in the day with coupon

    • back in my day (insert words)

  • -1

Is it possible to get that disgustingly filthy inedible pig out of the burger when ordering?

    • +3

Yes, click on customise and remove bacon.

    • +2

Very hurtful words to describe the little oinkers 🐷

    • -3

You're just as bad as a vegan

  • -3

HJ deals always seem to bring out the "it used to be cheaper" or "I remember when" drones every single time lol

    • +3

Any fast food deal really, especially GYG deals. Whilst it’s great to reminisce about how low prices once were, the reality is we’re never gonna see deals like that again. 😞

  • +1

thx OP lunch and dinner sorted

  • +5

That's unbelievable they cost $19.30 for two….. even with inflation, WTF!

    • +1

It’s absolutely bonkers. And someone else posted here that they usually cost even more where they live!

  • Shouldn’t need to worry about the expiry date if you eat it straight away. It’s heaps better fresh anyway.

  • Can someone explain to me how these apps work? Is it like a pickup order thats ready for you or something?

    • +4

You place your order on the app and they're supposed start cooking when you "check in". Instead, they wait until you're there and you usually end up waiting 10 minutes because they weren't expecting customers.

      • Thanks. Sounds exactly as I thought it would be.

  • they are so tasty but does anyone also get the shits after eating HJ beef based burgers?

    • Maybe you're allergic to scientifically engineered food.

      • chicken is fine however it is cooked but just the beef burgers so don't know if it is the cheese or grease or what

      • unrelated what Rolex is recommended to keep in original box unworn and sell decades later?

        • I haven't had much luck in that area. Maybe because I've been buying my genuine Rolex from this store.

        • "Got a Rollie on my arm that I bought in Vietnam, and I drink VB as there's 30 in a carton"
          Snoop a loop!

      • That entire article is nonsense pseudoscience, "scientifically engineered" (which means nothing) evil food, like adding salt to food to make it taste good lol. Then some random chemicals without context and fear mongering and cancer.

Acrylamide can form from baking/frying/roasting anything high in carbs at high temp, so roasting a potato at home with some salt = (profanity) death. My mum making roast chicken and potatoes with salt seasoning was working for the deep state. All the points they make break down with further "doing your own research."

  • +1

    Not available at Macquarie Centre

    • yeah it is. Just had 2 there.

They were disappointing. So I got a couple of sundaes to wash the taste out.

  • -1

Excuse my ignorance, but what do people do with these '2 burger' deals?

Do they eat two burgers and buy a drink separately?

I've never been able to understand the point of them.

    • +4

Personally, I live by the motto, "If there's room for cake, eat another steak"

    • You never thought of sharing it with your crappier half ?

      • I sure have thought of it, on the occasions where we are buying HJs for both of us. But one burger each isn't much of a meal is it?

I would end up buying other things to supplement it. Then realise that I haven't saved any money compared to just buying normal bundles. Perhaps this is HJs strategy - pretend it's a deal, knowing that customers will buy sides and drinks separately.

That's my question - people surely aren't falling for this. So people must have different eating habits to me… Maybe some people simply eat a burger and don't need anything else.

    • I try eat two. It’s not always pleasant. A lot of the time I order this shit it’s because I’ve given up trying to attend to myself and just want to eat something to move through the dilemma that is eating and on to the next thing. Or slightly different, it’s late in Canberra and NOTHING is open except McDonald’s or HJ’s or service stations that after a certain time won’t let you in to the shop to browse, you have to ask for things via a window. I don’t know if that makes much sense.

Oh and no extras, it’s not in budget. They overcharge for the drinks and the drinks and fries are up there with how unhealthy they are. Water is king.

  • +1

The app took my money but didn't put through my order went to store to pickup showed them the paypal transaction and still wouldn't give me my food, was told to go through head office wont be using the app again.

    • +1

Hungry Jack’s feels dodgy these days as it is. I ordered this same deal late night Wednesday this week and then went to collect it only to find the store long ago fenced off and undergoing major renovations. ACT Belconnen store.

Google entry showed no sign of this and still said they were open 24/7. I had an email confirmation of the order but nothing showing in my app order history (only checked that today) but sure enough there is a $10 charge to my card and no refund after a couple of days.

Called my bank this afternoon and commenced a chargeback as I expect it would have taken more than this single 10 minute phone call if trying to sort it out through HJ’s.

      • +1

lucky for me I paid through paypal & because order never completed they reversed it, its still strange that payment would go through but my order wouldn't show anywhere im my app. I wont be risking any of these deals again, if something like that can happen.

  • +1

These tasted disgusting I regretted it nearly instantly. Regular bacon deluxe is way nicer.

  • tried. not very good burgers

  • -2

Although bacon tastes delicious, it is a type 1 carcinogen. Pigs have the intelligence of a 3 year old child. Smarter than dogs. They are gassed to death in horrific gas chambers. This is unnecessary torture for taste pleasure. You don’t need to be a part of this. Go vegan.

  • I know their images are not representative, but damn, lol. What a sad little burger. Barely worth $5.

  • I removed the BBQ sauce, leaving the pepper sauce and these were OK burgers.
