Purchasing OnePlus Open Fold from Skyphonez via Wisemarket.com.au

Hello all,

I am interested in buying the Oneplus Open foldable device and was looking for options to buy online and found this link below:

Just wondering if anyone has bought a phone from Wisemarket and can share their experience, as I haven't heard of this store and there aren't many posts about this store on ozbargain.

Their reviews on ProductReview and Trustpilot aren't too bad, however not sure if they are trustworthy.

      If you prefer buying from eBay, the same mob is selling the same device via https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/325970917142

      If you got eBay plus subscription, there is a voucher that discounts it to $2,458.60

      The seller is the same: skyphonez. They operate under different usernames on ebay, including my-phonez and three.sons. Keep in mind you are buying an imported model and you really only have the vendor to contact in case of warranty claims — OnePlus in Australia won't help you repair or replace the device.

      Folding screen tech in phones is still developing and I think it's probably a little risky to purchase an imported model that's not covered by the manufacturer for damage, whether it's a production defect or accidental damage.

  I really wouldn't spend $2.5k on a phone with no idea where it's coming from. It was never released in Australia either, so it's definitely grey market, which means good luck chasing a reasonable warranty.
