  • Not much of a saving when other places are having it for $139

Only deal here is the free delivery being offered

    • +1

Delivery cost is like $15 from Computer Alliance.

    • or $24.95 delivery fee from JW Computers.

    Free flicker, nice

  • Only Full HD (1920x1080), which doesn't look very impressive on a 27" screen.

Better to grab a higher resolution at this size.

Maybe hold out for potential Easter weekend sales instead.

    • For under $150, there is no 2K monitor at this price, lol.

      • -1

Not worth bothering with 2K (2048x1080) unless you're specifically after a 'wide' monitor.

QHD (2560x1440) is better to maintain the 16:9 aspect ratio.

Every so often QHD pops up under $200.
And if you can spare an extra ~$50, it'll be more versatile in the long run.

        Recent Deal:
        Philips 275E1S 27" IPS QHD 75hz FreeSync 4ms Monitor $199 + Delivery @ JW Computers

        • 224 (delivered) - 137 (delivered) = extra 87 bucks with slower refresh rate

@Raguel: At the end of the day it comes down to shopping around for whatever best suits your use case.

            Larger monitor 27", 34", 40"?
            Higher resolution FHD, QHD, UHD?
            Higher refresh rate 75Hz, 100Hz, 120Hz?
            Brand, model, user reviews, etc…

Buy whatever bargain meets your needs, but be aware of what attributes will hinder your experience.

            Large monitor with low resolution?
Graphics are going to look blocky.

FPS gaming with a low refresh rate?
            Hurts your game-play fluidity.

Once you know your minimum requirements it's easy to keep an eye out for bargains.

  • n00b question - VA is better or IPS for study? Like using web, documents, typing etc.

    • It really depends on the brand, some brands make better VA than others and some make better IPS than others. E.g. VA one from a really good brand is better than so so brand IPS.

      • i dont think anyone would reasonably think VA is better than IPS
