Being optus wholesale I assume it’s speed
    Capped at 100mbps?
Wasnt sure what this meant in OP:

    “Utilises full Optus 4G/5G network.”

    • +1

Checked the CIS and yes limited to 100mbs which is dumb for 5g..

      • +5

What are you doing on your phone that requires faster than 100Mbps when you only have 25GB per month? Serious question :)

        • +9

Nothing much, i just think its dumb to advertise super fast 5G but eveything is capped at 100mbs and on my 4G plan is actually faster speeds just doenst make sense thats all !

          • @solidussnake: Yeah, this is pretty standard on cheap plans, but I get your point.
Much the same as the cheaper 5G Optus NBN alternatives shaped at 50Mbps and 100Mbps.
They just want the higher value customers on full speed 5G for now, likely to pay back the investment in the network.

Stay on 4G, I’m with Amaysim and 4G coverage is obviously better than 5G but also get 220mbps at home but 5G I’m capped at 100

Been with these guys the last 6 months or so and they have been completely fine if you're just after a no frills provider. If you aren't expecting bells and whistles and are fine with Optus, you should be ok.

    • Do they provide a good Voice mail service? I need the one where if someone leaves you a voice message, by pressing some digit you can hear their phone number and by pressing another digit you can call them back.
That's what you get from Boost (Telstra) and Kogan (Vodafone).

      • +1

Yes , they have this !

        • Thank you for your reply.

    Is there data banking?

    • +2

      Maybe try reading the description?

    • No, no there’s not

So if you are already on Moose, are they billing with new price?

    • +1

I would imagine it’s an introductory price for new customers.

    • If you’re already activated, you cannot change over to the lower price. I ordered mine a couple months back when the price was like $18.90 per month, then it went down to 14.80 and because I didn’t activate the sim they allowed me to get the lower pricing

  • Is this the cheapest 5G plan atm?

  • Good deal mate. I’ll give it a go

  • Credit check?

    • No credit check from memory.

    • Nope

  • +1

Their support is pretty useless, apart from that, not a bad deal

  • Esim?

    • +1

      No.

Bear in mind IT IS OPTUS

      Thanks man I couldn't read.

  • Is it possible to subscribe to this deal but only use it until my current contract ends?

    • Can you explain a bit more? Doesn't make sense.

    • You have to purchase the sim and pay for 1 month upfront. You just don’t have to activate it straight away. The upfront money will be credited towards first bill once activated

  • Can I buy the sim now and sign up/port my number when the billing cycle with my current provider ends?

    • Sure can! That’s what I did. I ordered and waited to activate till my current plan finished

    • On first page of checkout:

      "Transferring your number?
The transfer process only begins when you've received your SIM and you tell us to make the switch."

  • when will end?

Came here to say AVOID MOOSE, terrible network across VIC, Melb CBD, Eltham, Rosebud (I changed it within a month and the reception was awful in these places that I have been).

Switched to More with Yelllo payin less for more on Telstra network now.
    YMMY

  • Thanks OP, it's a pity the Boost cashback deals have dried up, I guess this is the next best thing atm

  • pity there is no esim option

  • It's not a prepaid mobile plan !

  • Any idea when this deal ends?

My current plan doesn't expire until a few months.
