CRACKINGVALUE

90 points, Ken Gargett:
"A South Australian blend of the always popular Cabernet, this is cracking value. Dark garnet, this is bright and fresh, yet with depth. Notes of raspberries, spices, tobacco leaves, darker fruits and milk chocolate with a supple texture and fine tannins. Ideal for drinking at any stage over the next three to four years. Sometimes I think the colourful fun labels do the wine inside a disservice. People tend to think that the wine can’t really be serious, can’t be any good. This series swiftly disproves that theory."

Story: Cabernet Sauvignon is grown in nearly every major wine-producing country in both the Old and New Worlds, producing some of the most expensive, complex, and long-lived wines on the planet. It's always been a favourite of ours and offers a remarkable variety of styles across Australia's many premium wine regions. South Australia is considered one of the Great Wine Capitals of the world, producing 50% of all bottled wine and 80% of all premium wines coming out of Australia. This Cabernet Sauvignon is no exception, showcasing the wonderful complexity this variety can achieve across state and country borders - truly offering the best of both worlds!

Nose: The nose displays youthful notes of blackberries, blackcurrant, and herbs with a hint of menthol.

Palate: The palate is lively and fresh with plenty of black fruits, cassis and herbaceous undertones, followed by well-integrated tannins on the lengthy finish.

Winemaker: Bec Hardy

Cellaring: Drink now to 2029

  • Thanks @RD ADL, how does this compare to the Bec Hardy Langhorne Creek Cab Sauv? I got 6 bottles of the Langhorne Creek when I ordered the 'All For One & One For All' deal a few weeks ago but it sold out. I have quite enjoyed the bottle I have had.

Your team were excellent at contacting me about my order by the way, super helpful and quick to resolve :-)

    • Thanks for the kind words. This is a prior vintage of the All For One the 2021. We’ve bottled a little extra after having to run off a new bottling for an export order to the Philippines.

The Langhorne Creek releases are excellent, again IMO, this is not as good but still a good wine at a great price. Enjoy! RD :-)

      • Thanks RD, took a slightly different tack and ordered the Cleanskin McLaren Vale Shiraz 2021. Keen to try the Pertaringa range!

        • @alexason good drop from the vintage of a generation. Enjoy! :-)

  • Good deal thanks

    • Our pleasure - thanks for the order. RD :-)
