This is a very decent month.

I already own Nobody and Evil West. I'd give them 9/10 and 7.5/10 respectively.

yesssss i was going to buy plague tale req :D

  • Ahh just bought plague tale last month, finally got my hands on a preowned Innocence version last week too. Good game but can't imagine playing it more than once

      Thank you for your sacrifice.

Plaque tale is so good, highly recommend.

I didn't like the ending, where it ended with a trip to the dentist, a needle, some fillings and several hundred dollars out of pocket. A real downer.

      • Hey!! Spoilers!! :D

Plaque tale is so good, highly recommend.

      Does it involve a toothbrush?

I’m new to PlayStation and just got the kids a PS4 that has not arrived yet. With the Essential games after you download them for the month do you continue to have access to them to play after the month as long as you have an active subscription? What is the cheapest way to buy a subscription to PS Plus at the moment, as it looks like the Turkey avenue has been closed off. Thanks for your help everyone.

    • +2

once you have added them into your library/download list, you can still play those games as long as you have an active subscription.
no need to fully download them, just add them during that month.
you can even stop subscribing and you will regain those when you resubscribe.
the cheapest way is probably using gift cards (prezzee, TCN, ultimate) for JB or PSN.

Yes as long as you have active subscription, you have access to games. Just make sure you add them to your library each month otherwise you will miss out.

      • Thanks for the explanation! What tier subscription are most people getting these days since the substantial price increases? Thanks

        • I just get essential. Look up the extra catalogue. I'd only consider getting it if there is a game I want to actively play and then only for the shortest time I can get it to finish that game. May be worth considering if you don't have a huge backlog of games like I do. Which is why I haven't seen the need to get it.

I don't think I get great value from essential but being locked out of all mp is a tough pill to swallow. I do jump online with a friend (probably average about 2x a month). Multiplayer experiences are pretty poor at the moment too which makes it even feel rougher.

I would highly recommend getting the PS App. Sign into it with your main account that youre using for your PS+ subscription so you can add the monthly games that way. Allows you to add both the PS4 and PS5 games to your account without having to get on the console. Dont think it allows you to add the PS5 games when using a PS4, could be wrong though.

    • Where did you get it from? If it turns on and it’s under or on version 9 do not update…

    Solid month.

Sony must be noticing the subs dropping off and decided to actually offer some decent games for a change to draw people back in.

    • +2

Or it could mean more drop off because they aren't interested in those games. My sub finishes mid January and I have already turned off renewal which I have had active since the days of PS3.

    • The just raised the price so probably trying to make that palatable

    • Yeah. I stopped my year of Deluxe sub a couple weeks ago. Played everything i wanted and even the cheaper price for black friday and december couldn't lure me back. I think it was amazing value for the first year (I paid $114) but only if you haven't played many games for a while. Lots of filler and ps4 & ps3 titles. Probably more disappointed with the games. Supposed to be these amazingly reviewed titles with big budgets and huge followings etc but almost always it was just meh. Only a handful I thought were really good in the games catalogue.

    • Yup but won't last much longer. Don't believe Sony can return back to glory days before the move to new subscription structure.

My one expires end of year I have no plans on renewing

Need to finish FFVII remake and then just let it collect dust

    Three cracking games

Played nobody on gamepass ages ago, it's fantastic. Modern day monster boy

  • Sometimes you need a game that just makes you feel like s**t, and Plague Tale hits nearly as good as Last of Us in that regard. Solid sequel. Liked the Arya/Hound type dynamic with the new character here.

Evil West is ok, PS2/3 kinda throwback. Looks great if nothing else.

  • Plague Tale and Nobody Saves the World are amazing. Evil West isn’t too shabby either! Best PS Plus offerings in a long time.

my ps5 has been collecting dust for many month now

  • +1

A PS+ month with 3 great games? Impossible

  • -2

Game ass has been so quiet lately. Still waiting for ff7 ffs and silksong

  • Definitely play the first Plague Tale game first. It's fantastic! Can't wait to play this one.
