I wanted another 600x1200 and was stalking Carbatec for it to drop to $99 again. When I saw the 1200x1200 at $139 I decided to get that instead.
Carbatec also offers a 10% discount on first orders if you sign up for the mailing list, so it ended up costing me $125.10 to pick one up.

This peaked my interest, can any one vouch for this?

    • I find the 600x1200 very useful. It is reasonably light, compact, and easy to set up. It can move around easily if you don't have much weight on it though. There are a few reviews on YouTube that are worth a watch.

    • plenty of non-sponsored vids on youtube

  • I'm interested in this, does anyone know how long the deal is going to be on for?

    Any good on uneven surfaces?

  • @cheapsk8 - thanks for the post. Have seen before and kept an eye out. How do you find the height of these? (I'm 6'3" - from what I can see online the standard height is ~77cm…)

In the USA they have 2 different height versions. 30 inches (76cm) and 36 inches (91cm). Unfortunately in AU we only get the shorter version.

I'm 6'1" and don't mind the height, but it depends on what you are using it for and how long. The work surface is about dining table height (with a flat board on top), so you wouldn't want to be hunched over it for hours to deal with low items. I do that kind of thing in the shed instead.

I think it excels at being portable so you can have a decent worktop instead of using the ground or some poorly improvised surface. Perfect for things like putting a drop saw on or holding heavy items at a decent height so you don't have to keep bending over. You can put it up temporarily to make sawdust outside.

You can also get some more height by using the cups and two beams, or if desperate can purchase the Bora risers
