CHUWI Hi10 X Pro (10.1", Android 13 4GB/128GB, Widevine L1, 4G) US$69.53 (~A$104.79) Delivered @ Chuwi Choice Store AliExpress

530

Very low price on this budget Android tablet from Chuwi that's good enough for watching media, light gaming, eBooks and a home assistant dashboard. Given it's about A$105 there are a couple of downsides to make it this cheap, but I think it's still good value for the price.

For example the UNISOC T606 is a weaker octa-core CPU so it's better suited for light gaming and the display resolution is only1280x800 HD instead of FHD, however the display is bright at 400nits.

Featuring Android 13 with Google Play, 10.1" 1280x800 16:10 IPS display, 4GB RAM, 128GB storage (microSD support), UNISOC T606 Octa-core CPU, 6000mAh battery with USB-C, 4G LTE with Dual SIM, 8MP rear camera, 5MP front camera, WiFi ac, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, metal body and dual speakers.

Despite having Widevine L1 DRM this tablet hasn't been whitelisted by Netflix so it won't display in HD. Other streaming services like Prime Video and Disney+ will be in HD.

Great price. Even if only to use it as a portable screen for viewing diagnostic data/security video.

You could use an old tablet, but i find they sell for $50+ on ebay and usually limited to pre-v5 android so newer apps dont work

  • Is there a shockproof case available for this one? Or shouldn't expect there to be one yet

Cheap way to cloud game with Turkish Xbox sub 🤔

    • you'll be able to play CODM on this bad boi!

  • Punch it!

  • Any reviews of this? All I could find was for some tablet with same mode number and higher resolution 😵‍💫

      Nah it's a new release

Specs on the Chuwi website list the battery capacity as 6000mAh.

      Thanks.

      • Having gotten my hands on one I notice the hardware info says 5000mAh, and also the included paper manual. A bit disappointed at the false advertising on the website. But still a decent tablet for the price.

    • Android 12 though it says

And quad core, not octo core

    • +3

Unisoc T310 is a very weak quad-core CPU and significantly slower than the T606 octa-core.

You're paying slightly less for a big downgrade. Though the dispute trick isn't a bad way of saving if it works. Too many attempts and they'll catch on 😅

      • Well it worked for me, got $51 back. Didn't really need it considering how underpowered it is but for $51…

  • Does anyone have the issue of the tab getting very hot upon using it for more than 15 min? Also, when charging the tab gets hot too. sometime i feel like i can use this to iron my clothes.

    • Have you got this one?

    • Just gone one yesterday, no heating during use or charging.

CHUWI is the disappointed sound you make using the UI/UX

  • So cheap, you could use as a sat nav in a car that needs it. I own the iplay 50 mini (same ram and soc) and usable for most things.

    • +1

You wouldn't want a cheap lithium ion battery in a car. There is a good chance the display would fail or degrade quickly. Nice concept, but the reality wouldn't be so good.

  • Go to Deal and it says "this item is no longer available".

  • how do you pronounce CHUWI?
    chewy
    shuey
    huey
    cuey
or same but with a why sound at end?

      • Haha,how did you know I have it?:D it was a while since I last cooked it,lol.
Fantastic soup paired with z Coles Rack roast, yummmm

why if you got a laptop and a phone?

    • +1

Why wear a watch if your microwave oven has the time on it? I don't get this question.

      • Carrying the microwave around would probably be quite inconvenient. The question is legit enough if you have the two items mentioned.

      • it's an unnecessary purchase in my opinion

    • well the laptop battery is rubbish, and the phone is plugged into the wall.

      • none of that fullstop stuff

    back in stock
dont know why i got this but i did anyways

    • You sir are a legend and i'm about to drop the same $100 but have no idea why.

  • As always, most probably 0 time went into the dev of this tablet's operating system, may the kernel gods bless your poor souls! but battery drains and random restarts are almost guaranteed, recommend to buy a value brand like alldocube/teclast, for hopefully "better" experience.

  • Anyone tell me if this tablet be ok for reading ebooks with the 1280x800 screen

    • Fine resolution for reading ebook, probably wouldn't recommend this for details graphs.

  • If anyone missed out there's 9 left on the listing for US $67.10.

This turned up today. I am impressed for the price. Came with a clear case and some sort of screen protector already on it.
Had initial problem logging into Google as it was trying to download an update during setup but once this was skipped and later logged in has been working well.

Good buy. camera is not great but is used for kids games mainly.

    • Good to know! I bought one for my sister, not a child but it’s her first tablet. Mostly for watching videos and web browsing. What a steal! I only paid $62 us as I used different codes.

    • Mine turned up yesterday too. I was after a higher pixel density and the battery is 5000mAh not 6000mAh, but for $105 I'm happy to overlook these shortfalls. It's smooth running like a mobile phone, I've used cheap tablets that slow to a crawl when booting up and loading apps.
And as a bonus is can use a SIM card if needed.

      • Got mine today! I’m impressed as it also plays Prime in hd and YouTube up to 720.
One thing that seems unreal is there is a flash! How is that even possible at this price? My iplay50 doesn’t have one (I know the camera isn’t that good but still impressive there is a torch/flash).
Free silicone case worth about $10 too (preinstalled screen protector).

        For about $60 us it’s a bargain!
