Lebara seems better, $199 for 425gb for 360days, will also get calling to 50 international countries, both on voda too.

That’s also a great plan! How long do you have to activate for that one?
I’m a very light consumer (around 80gb a year), but one of my kids will need a large plan in a couple of months.

seems 60days from the date of purchase, thats wat online chat from lebara told me.

    • No, tried lebara, almost unusable in sydney city reception wise for me at multiple locations, bad customer service and couldn’t even escape them for a few days, maybe just unlucky but I will be avoiding in future, kogan alot better in all departments in same areas

      • Good to know. Anyway I asked Lebara, they confirmed buy by 30/04 and then 2 months to activate it.

      Kogan Mobile Extra Large $199 for 500gb 365days. https://www.kogan.com/au/buy/kogan-mobile-prepaid-voucher-co…

      • That's pretty good. I bought this same one last year for $150 but this is still a great deal.

Question though, my kogan plan expires on 16/7. Given this voucher expires 31/5, I have to essentially lose 1.5 months by activating it ?

        • Yes, you would have to forfeit remaining months. You are better off waiting for next offer.

        • Im in the same boat… wondering if the $150 deal may pop up.. I’m doubtful.

      • Looks good, but there is no unlimited international calling on this i guess.

        • Unfortunately no.

      • Is this the normal price or also on promotion? What's the normal price? Thanks

    Perfect description, well done

    thanks. I just need one..

  • Does anyone know if you can add on Apple Watch Cellular to this plan?

    • All good, looks like you can’t

    • Nope

      • Only main carriers. The beauty of the apple eco-system.

        • My dad has apple watch lte in India and he uses it on prepaid for free, the esim on watch is free. I think it's aussi carriers that are causing the prob but not apple.

          • @hopper: Wow, that’s great! I hope it’ll come here one day, as I’m not willing to pay $40 a month to have esim in watch.

  • Will Kogan have 5G soon?

Will these gift cards (https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/768020) if purchased work with this deal?

Reading T & C, it states it is excluded (won't work for Kogan Mobile)

    • Buy your kogan mobile on kogan.com and its should work

      • ah thank you!

    • Can confirm the gift card works if you purchase through kogan .com

  • I'm looking for information regarding international roaming. On their page, they only mention data while roaming.
Does anyone know about VoWifi and receiving SMS while roaming?
    Thanks

  • Doesn't lebara already have 5g?

  • Been using kogan for 7+ years, overall been very happy with the price, but seems to be a lot more congestion and drop outs on the Vodafone network these days, reminds me of the bad days of vodafail pre 2010.
Might have to switch, but not really looking forward to paying double for my phone bill in the future

  • I'm currently on Vodafone prepaid. How is the process of churning over to this Kogan's Vodafone prepaid? I absolutely cannot risk losing my number as its for work

  • If Kogan allowed you to stack / accumulate remaining months it would be nice…

As it is, if I had 3 months remaining and I tried to "add" a 12 month, I'd forfeit the 3 and be left with a total of 12.. It's crazy!

    • Yeah same position as you. I think they have done some number crunching, to get people like us to forfeit a few months on a new deal, which makes the original deal worse because we're now effectively using it for less than 12 months. I'll personally wait until my actual date is up and see what deals (kogan or not) are available.

      • They usually have these big percentage off type deals every two months give or take.. Which always worked out previously, as before it was only for new customers. So you'd churn off for about a month. Then go back as a new customer. Plus the option of having monthly data or all data at once.

Works out $14.92 a month for 25gb each month.

Why do that, when one can always get annual Coles for $10/month, and use Boost giveaway monthly plans for data on the 2nd sim slot? Or — even better! — get Woolies for $12.50/month but with more data + 10% off monthly grocery shopping?

  • @wisdomtooth Not everyone can be bothered or has dual sim phones. Also regarding woolworths, if you need more data (and don’t have a dual phone/can’t be bothered with a second sim for data) you are better off with a bigger plan somewhere else and add everyday extra @$59 a year.

Not everyone can be bothered or has dual sim phones.

Waaat?! If they can't be bothered saving money, what are they even doing here?? No true OzBargainer worth their salt would buy a single sim phone (precisely for the aforementioned reason).

  • This was better value December last year?

    $165 for 42Gb/m. (+- 500Gb)

    $13.75 p/m

In fact looking back I always pick 2 of these up around December for the kids as they frequently have 45% off (did last year)

    Just FYI.

Why pay top dollar for top data, when one can get a yearly plan for $85, — or even negative cost! — and route the data through free Boost monthly plans?

which network does kogan use? optus, voda or telstra?

Beginning of post “ Kogan uses Vodafone”

      • +1

Yeah I didn't bother responding just grizzled to myself. Not only is it the first line in the description, it's also the first search result on Google.

The sheer laziness in this post gave me an eye twitch.
