    Replaceable Battery Design*

Where can you get replacement batteries for these?

  • +1

    Xiaomi Mi G11 $400

PLSAV22 takes it down to $390

    • Even better. Thank you :) is that eBay Plus only?

  • eBay via GearBest

    Gearbite ;)

  • Wont Samsung Jet 60 Pet be better at 329$? (Education with newsletter code)

  • Does this vacuum uses the same battery pack as this one?
    Trouver Power 11 Vacuum Cleaner - https://xiaomi-mi.com/cleaning-gear/xiaomi-trouver-power-11-…

    • They look to be different.

    • Do you know where to get batteries for the trouver?

Mine went completely dead in less than a year. Looks like new, does literally nothing except show 0% on the display (can't even be used when plugged in)

      • Trouver pretty much stopped selling and manufacturing the batteries. From what I can gather the battery cells themselves are fine and the issue lies with the battery controller or similar component. Seems Trouver had no quality control or seriously cheaped out.

        • Know of any workarounds or hacks, or do I just add it to the e-waste pile (and the buyer's remorse list)?

edit: if the issue lies with the battery controller, does that mean like a blown component or something? I wonder if it can be repaired

EDIT2: nvm, this thread covers it, landfill is the only solution: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/663046

          • @andresampras: I do not have the exact model listed but I have the Trouver model. From the pictures, they looks like they use the same battery. If they are, please stay away from them. I bought 2, opened one and battery works for under 7 months before it just died. Tired to get the ebay seller (Gohyobrand1 eBay) to replace the battery and they can't be bother to reply, made a complaint with ebay and told me nothing they can do other than hopping the seller will reply to them or me. Meanwhile, I tried to find any spare battery I can buy and was able to find a couple of sellers overseas selling for $160 so I ended up throwing the crap out to landfill and I am lucky to sell the second one on mktplace (thank god). Was thinking I can see quite a bit instead of getting a Dyson v10….eventually I bought the V11 Dyson and is extremely happy with it. It is 3-4 times more but the battery will last at least 2 years or else I can easily claim warranty from Dyson.

            • @JCRALLYART: where did you get a Dyson V11 for $300-$400?

              I'd like to buy a few ;)

              • @andresampras: no I mean v10 was approx $600ish at that time while the Trouver can be as low as $100 but also get up close to $200. I am sure v10 would already by way more powerful than than rubbish Trouver but I eventually go to v11 due to auto power sensor.

            • @JCRALLYART: I checked the manuals more closely and they're different at the connections. Plus Trouver isn't Xiaomi at all. Was wrongly advertised as such sadly.

              • @Clear: Thanks for clarifying. At the end of the day, check how easily you can get spares parts (ie floor tools, wand etc) and battery before buying one of these vacuums unless you find it cheap enough to replace it every year

                • @JCRALLYART: Yup. Batteries are almost always guaranteed to be expensive. I use a Viomi A9 handheld and the Xiaomi distributor Panmi keep them in stock so I have a few spare.

      • first thing that came into my mind as well….

      • Also wanted to find out

  • What would be a Dyson model comparable to this?

  • This versus Viomi A9?

I was tossing up between this and the G10 and went with the latter saving myself $120. The bin compartment is tiny on the G11 and it looks like the trouver which brings back bad memories. No complaints with the G10 so far.

    • I was tossing up between this and the G10

      😲

    • The bin compartment is tiny on the G11

G11 has much better suction, better battery life, lighter and easier to clean.

    • Just watch for the battery, they have a known fault and generally die within 6-12 months.

      • +1

Which vacuum are you referring to G10 or G11?

        • G10. Known fault that I've also personally experienced. Very annoying as batteries are ~$110 new and there's no aftermarket options.

          • @JSONBourne: Been using a G10 for almost a year without issue and just bought a second. I have the addon dock and extra battery for each of them.

  • I’d never again buy a vacuum on eBay off a seller without a physical store and especially not an unknown model Xiaomi

It’s too much trouble dealing with eBay and Paypal’s lousy 6 month warranty support and not worth going to tribunals over a couple of hundred

  • I think this seller is reputable seller, good feedbacks and plenty of Xiaomi product but my concern is if this is Australian model with Australian power adapter or if it comes with plug adapters.
    Good price though.

      That's not Xiaomi though…
