MalwareBytes Anti-Malware Premium 60% off - $24/Year 1-Device (Was $60/Year)

120

This has been my preferred anti-virus for 7 years and so far I have no complaints. I know it doesn't rank as the top but when you lock in a deal like this it's pretty good value for money in my opinion.

You'll lock in the price for annual renewal, if you need more than 2 licenses I'd recommend the 5 device plan as it's further discounted. I haven't used their VPN so can't comment on if the $5 month privacy bundle is worth it or not.

This is part of Black Friday / Cyber Monday deals for 2021

(profanity) malwarebytes, bought a “lifetime” key before they switch to subscriptions, and they wont honour it now.

Do the lifetime license no longer work?

    • +2

I've been using the same key since 2010, on at least 4 new laptops

Almost the same here, I just installed it (5 minutes ago) on my new desktop using the same key etc. that I got back in 2015.
        All good so far…

Three Lifetime licenses here and in my Malwarebytes account they all show as:
      This is a lifetime subscription

Bought one in 2015 and two in 2017.

    doesn't rank as the top

I don't know what it's being compared to but it's meant as a addition to normal antivirus so a comparison to AV isn't really useful. Best to run it with MS Defender enabled.

      Exactly.
This is an additional layer of protection. Except it doesn't takeover your machine and slow it down to a crawl.

    Brazil is the word.

  • ….or just use Kaspersky

  • +3

Kaspersky is top! we use malwarebytes in our lab. It can detect but not clean as good as Kaspersky

Bitdefender is ok but the secure web browser is as slow as snail.

ESET is not clever as you need to uninstall the trial version in order to install a multi-device version

Trend has low detection rate and high false positive rate.

MacAfee is like a new user interface on old engine

    Norton is actually improving

    Not sure about Microsoft.

  • Wished I had bought a license years ago. Really don't like every business going subscription model

  • I purchased a lifetime licence key in 2008. $13.72 USD

I had some issues when they updated their key system but an email to their support desk and they issued me with an updated key, still with lifetime subscription.

    • Yep. Same here.

  • 1/3 of way through another year subbed (unlucky didnt get a lifetime earlier). If i buy this sub for another year, does it extend the existing one or replace it?.

    • I'm not sure, best to contact them to ask, you still got over a week before the sale ends.

  • Still running my lifetime key.

  • Yes I bought the lifetime license so all sweet
